Does everyone have a neverfull?

I live just outside London and I counted 7 NF at my daughter's nursery sports day. Then went to my other daughters school sports day two days later and counted 5 DA NF alone. After wanting a NF for a couple of years I got a mono NM Delightful for my birthday in April. The SA in London said they sold dozens of NF so thought I might something different, she was right. I like the style of the NF and the practicality but I am never one to run with the crowd and the new Delightful had just came out with the hot pink lining that was the bag for me. Having said that I may get an Epi NF in future to replace my Longchamp La Plage.

I am not judging others and think the NF is a lovely bag but I have just always wanted to be a bit different. In fact I am now totally going to google Queen Louis' stripey NF. Gorgeous.

Love the tote style, so convenient. If the straps were just an inch or two longer, I'd probably have gotten the Neverfull GM long ago. Instead I chose the Michael Kors Jet Set tote (it's adjustable and I lengthened it with extra set of holes) and Frye Deborah tote because the straps sit just long enough for me. It's all in whether or not it works for you.

I got a mono NF last year just bc the old model was being discontinued but I've literally used it just a handle of times for the gym and have shoved it to the back of my bag closet. I work in NYC where it's just seriously too commonplace for my taste- i got the black then the quetsche epi NFs as work bags in rotation. I've been seeing more and more goyard St Louis- I think in response to the overflowing number of NFs, so those two bags are off my list forever!

I do see them a lot where I live but I don't see them constantly. But they are very very popular but there is a reason they are popular! These are very useful bags. I have accumulated approximately 15 LV bags. I like to change my bags regularly but I find whenever I carry my Neverfulls, it seems that I tend to carry them a day or two longer than I do some of the others. They are just so easy, lightweight and they hold a ton[emoji2]

I used to have a Damier Ebene MM Neverfull, I used it as a diaper/baby bag, it was very useful and big enough to hold all the baby items, but my younger one already five, I don't find any reason to keep this big tote anymore, I just sold it recently. But I still see a lot of people wearing it everyday!

I have 3, DE in GM, mono/mimosa in GM, and DA in MM. Might add a 4th an MM in mon mono... Still trying to decide between that and speedy b 30 but neverfulls are so handy for my lifestyle.

Why would the popularity of something prevent you from buying one or enjoying the one you have? Doesn't everyone have an iPhone these days? Oversized gold Michael Kors watch? Tiffany's tag bracelets? Just because lots of people have something doesn't suddenly negate the functionality or appeal of that item, and the same is true for the Neverfull. If anything, when I see someone out with the same bag, it makes me happy, that we're in a little "club" together even if the other person isn't aware of it. I don't feel lesser than, or that what I have is now not special because someone else has it. If I wanted a bag that no one else would ever carry, I wouldn't shop at a branded, international mass producer of monogrammed bags. :shrugs:

AMEN!!! Very well said!

Do you mean Le Pliage?

I think getting an epi NF is great solution if you require the functionality of a NF yet prefer to carry something less ubiquitous. I am really loving my coquelicot NF MM--the color is so beautiful and I've never seen a single person carrying the same bag. When I carried my DE NF, I would see a minimum of 10 ppl with the same bag, no matter where I went. Is the NF the most exciting or fashion-forward bag in terms of shape/style? No, of course not. But its functionality really can't be beat. I should add that for a large all-leather shoulder bag, the epi NF is surprisingly lightweight, which is really nice. Also, the straps on the epi NF are thicker and stronger than the straps on the DE canvas NF, which is a big selling point imho. My only wish is that they would make the epi NF in a GM size!

I mean, these bags are mass produced so you gotta expect to see them frequently. They aren't one of a kind. I don't really buy bags for exclusivity, I just buy what sings to my heart! :smile1:
