Does anyone use Poshmark?

Maybe your price is incredibly high? My experience with Poshmark is that sellers are often (usually) delusional in their pricing. Recently, I spotted a necklace that retailed for $90 about 10 years ago. I bought that necklace in a different color (after negotiation) on PM last year for $40 (originally listed for $90). I overpaid a bit ($30 would have been more than fair), but I really liked it, so I bit the bullet. This necklace in a different color now on PM is listed for $180 (double original retail and this is obscure stuff that does not hold its value). I offered $50 just to be generous. Seller countered with $175. Give me a break! I unliked the item and we’ll see if it’s still there 4 years later like so many things on that site. I guarantee it will be. Do people want to sell their stuff or not?

Don’t slam “low ballers.” Often (usually) it’s the sellers who have unrealistic high pricing.
I price items at what I want. Below a certain amount, I'd rather keep the item or donate it. Buyers seem to forget about the fees the sellers are charged. I've sold items for $4 before. My net was $1.05.

I automatically price things higher on Poshmark because I know almost no one is going to pay the asking price. Without knowing me or seeing my listings, you have no idea if my prices are reasonable or not. I've sold 200 items. My PM stats say that my listing prices are 54% below retail. I've sold many vintage items for more than retail because that is what they are selling for now. I've sold a few newer items for much more than retail because they are extremely desirable and hard to find. If people aren't willing to pay my prices, then they can look somewhere else.

I'm thankful that no one is forcing me to price things at what they think is reasonable.

for me when I want to sell something I'm willing to negotiate. but there is a price at which its not worth my time to pack and ship

Should I be concerned of a buyer with absolutely zero history/activity? Someone purchased a Moncler item priced under $500. I always look at the buyer before shipping and although this person has been on poshmark since 2016, there is virtually no activity (a dozen followers, following no one, not a single sale, no comments in the profile photo, not one “love given”, nothing). Not sure why this makes me a bit uneasy. Typically my items go through poshmark verification first. It’s tugging at my heart to place my authentic, gorgeous jacket in the box and ship it off. Am I being paranoid? You hear of so many scammers. Thanks

seems it's not easy to accumulate FB on Posh...I've bought and sold several items and only have one love note...over 700 followers though
Hopefully your buyer is upstanding

I wouldn't be concerned. Some people and especially those who can place tall orders, prefer to keep it super private. Also they don't have time for social yada yada on PM, they don't get engaged in anything. They may not understand TOU though like it's a final sale and Signature required for items over $500. It happens, just explain everything patiently if they reach out.

There is a member that has favorited two of my items. That's not unusual. What is unusual is that she has favorited them every day for the last 5 days. I think the only way you can favorite something again is to unfavorite it and then favorite it. I don't know why she is doing this. I thought maybe she was fishing for an offer so I made a bundle for her and sent an offer this morning but she hasn't responded.

That is strange. Hopefully she will accept your offer!

I can explain this because I do it all of the time! I like every item that I have any interest in so that I can go back and find it again in the future if I want to (since the search function is so terrible). If I want to keep several items in mind that I am considering, I will unlike and like them again, possibly even every day, just so the items stay at the top of my likes lists. So I think it's definitely the case that she is considering your items, but probably just not ready to buy them yet. I hope that helps!

I would send her a message through the bundle and ask if there is anything you can help her with about the items. Many people are following hundreds of items across various platforms and just have decision paralysis. If you send her a message it may be enough to bring your item to the forefront of her mind if she is ready to purchase.

Thanks! Good idea!
