You can try a good cleaner conditioner for reptile skin and buff it out. It might not turn out like new but it should help. saphir reptan is good as are several other brands ...Google reptile skin care products

Hi Doc, I am considering buying a Rouge H Chamonix Kelly from 2003. Most of the wear is pretty typical with some surface scratches and corner wear, but one corner looks like a chip or hole in the leather. It's a small spot but the leather looks completely worn away. My question is, can Hermes Spa fix this, or will the dent or chip always be there? Also, can Chamonix be treated like Box to be water resistant? What happens to it if it gets wet? Thanks for your advice!

Hi there
An Hermes spa will add some color to the worn areas they won't add any filler though
A different restoration specialist could do that if it really bothered you
Yes it can be treated to be water resistant just like box calf can
That's a beautiful and rare Kelly
A special treasure imo.

Conditioning can help and a good neutral polish
You can send it to Hermes spa and they might add some pigment to the corners
And they'll condition it for you too
Or you can google a restoring spa kit for vintage box calf had bags
