Dear @docride ,

I found this Kelly 28 bag that is not in a great condition. Please can it be salvaged or should I just avoid? Thank you .

I think it’s going to be delicate and possibly not come back to good condition even with a spa service .
But I could be wrong of course…
Hope this helps
I’d love to see the handle bases …
Best of luck

Dear @docride,

Thank you so much for all your help.

1. Is it possible to remove a pen mark from black box leather?
2. On the attached photos, are all those wrinkles sign that the leather will start to crack? Is there a way to fix it?
Thank you so much ❤️

Hi there
1) pen marks are usually permanent after 12-24hrs is it possible to remove ? Sometimes but that process can make more of a blemish than leaving it alone
2) those wrinkles and bends are made as the leather is bent to fashion the bag they are normal they are not inherently weak areas . If a bags leather or exotic skin becomes overly dry areas that bend and flex may eventually crack or tear . But that’s not where you are now right ?

I hope this helps
All the best doc

IMG_9863.jpegDear @docride,
I recently got my white clemence bag back from the spa, aside from the unexpectedly large sum I had to pay, I had to wait almost 8 months, that’s ok, but they returned it to me with handles that looked like different leather and color. The color I understand, mine had darkened after 10 years of use, but the leather looks quite different.
Here is the specifics of the bag

And here is how it looks now

They changed the hardware and cleaned the bag only outside .
Is there anything to be done to darken a bit the handles?
Thank you in advance!

Hello @docride ,

Thanks for replying and apologies for the late response. I was considering buying the bag but not any more. The seller is also not responding to any messages so I don’t have the photo of the handle bases. Thanks once again.

Hi there
The leather looks correct it’s just stretched around the core of the handle and that flattened the texture which is normal . The color difference is going to stay
Personally I’d lighted the rest of the bag to match but that’s me … trying to darken the handles to match the body of the bag will be Neary impossible. Imo
I hope that helps ?

Hello @docride -

I accidentally scratched a box calf handle on the wall and there is some white paint on it now. Is it possible to fix this? It's a 2022 Kelly that I've only had for a few weeks...

Thanks so much for your help.

Hi there
Don’t worry, you have a soft pencil pink eraser ? Just gently rub off the white mark … then do you have a clean water make a little damp ( not wet ) soft cloth.
It should lift off whatever else is there.

Or if you have some leather cleaner or conditioner just use a little on a soft cloth and gently lift it off with a few gentle swipes.

In any case it should lift right off .

All the best
Doc

Thank you so much for your reply! The pink eraser didn't work unfortunately :( I tried leather cleaner (Bee brand) but it lifted a little bit of the color so I was afraid to continue rubbing it. Is there a different brand that would work better for this? (Or should I try a black color restorer?)

Thank you so much dearest Docride!
Yes it helps, but wasn’t this their job to make the colors match!

Just wanted to update that I tried a Saphir cream and it was able to get the paint off. Thanks again for the help!
