Hi ladies, I need some advice on which bag to bring with me for a last-minute sans-kids trip to Houston. We would be there for fews days and will be mostly doing shopping + visiting NASA. My choices of bags are narrowed down to B30 orange poppy in clemence, J28 Sakura in swift and Evelyne PM in Blue Hydra in clemence. We will have a rental car during our stay. I'm leaning towards J28 but a little worried about how swift leather might get scratch up during the trip...
Which one would you take with you? TIA!

I would go with the Evelyne. Pretty sure you have to go through security screening at NASA so there's going to be a lot of scratching possibilities with the J28, and you're going to want your hands free so B30 probably not as practical.

Europe should be just fine. My family live in various European cities, some higher risk than others.

As a tourist everyone wants your money and good will.

You should be safe as long as you use the same precautions as you do at home.

I usually carry an GM Evelyne with a big Muji zip over the shoulder shopper. The Muji shoppers fold into tiny pouches and take up little space. If I buy stuff from major label brands everything goes in the shopper so as not to attract attention.

Also I f we go on public transit or end up any where slightly dubious when we get out of a taxi, everything including my evie goes in the big zip shopper.

Have fun on your trip!

I've been using Goyard St. Louis's over the years to carry my B's through security at the airport and whenever I want to be a bit more anonymous, etc. but want to second @purpledoodles suggestion about the Muji foldable tote. I finally got one and experimented with it, and my B35 can be completely zipped inside, while a B40 can be comfortably tucked in, with only a bit of the handles poking which is totally fine to get through security etc. And the tote is SO much lighter (made of paraglider material) and easier to toss in a bag than a Goyard or Longchamp. Here are some pics:

I use the same Muji travel tote, it's the best light weight bag to protect my H bags! Sometimes I also bring an extra one just in case I do too much shopping or to tuck my big coat in if I am going to a warmer place!

Thanks a lot for the pics! I wished I had known this when I brought my B40 home, I bought a Longchamp for another 250$ just for one flight and never needed it again :crybaby:

OMG!!! thanks so much for the pictures of the Muji tote. I lam going to order right away. I too bought the Longchamp to transport my b35 and found it bulky and heavy. Used it once and now it's in the with the luggage i no longer use.

My black J28 (Clemence with Swift flap) goes on all of my trips. Swift is a bit less forgiving than other leathers but marks can be rubbed out and over time it ages beautifully. Also the option to switch out the strap with scarf for a dressier outing is great.

I could bring an envirosac with me to NASA for the security screening part and place J28 inside it.... I do like how my J28 look with the twilly to shorten strap... Decisions, decisions...
