Couldn't agree more. Actually I bought a J28 for travel, it's nice at first..... well it stays nice as long as you don't need to take things from the bag!! The closure is really a pain!!! A really big one! It's heavy considering mine is only a 28! It brought me shoulder and neck pain. I simply let it go afterward. I confess I kinda miss mine when I see others carrying it, but it's a bit casual for my daily use, and I won't bring it for any trip, what's the use of keeping it?
yah - I could've bought a cute Jyp 28 in Paris but passed because of the strap and the closure. Stunning bag but not right for me.

Hi, lovelies! I'm new to Hermès and maybe this has already been mentioned... (I can't find much however). So, here's my question: is a Clemence Picotin 22 in Etain suitable for travel? What are your thoughts, please? TIA! :flowers:

Hmmm...i personally think its what works for you...and I dont own a picotin but see that it might not be the best for travel because it doesnt fit on your shoulder (maybe it does??) and has no closure so may not be secure. On the other hand, it seems very light. I have travelled with birkins, kellys, lindys, garden party and evelynes. I found anything with a shoulder strap option to be the best for me...and nothing too heavy!!

Good points: shoulder strap and closure! ;) Thank you so much for your feedback, ehy12! :flowers:

I have traveled with mine quite a bit. I love how light weight it is and it fits a ton of stuff. Typically, I travel with it when visiting family in an area I feel quite safe, so I don't need to worry about the open top. I was feeling a bit brave and took it recently on a trip to Rome and had no issues at all, though I wouldn't recommend using an open top bag in a crowded city regularly. I was lucky this time. I do keep a scarf over the top of my items. I guess it comes down to your comfort level in using a bag that does not close securely... Good luck deciding!

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience, luckylove! :flowers: In fact, I have two travel destinations ahead: Punta del Este and Rome later on. Such a coincidence! :ghi5:

I have traveled with a Kelly, bolide, halzan, and double sens with no problems. I wouldn't take a pico or a B, but that is because I like to be hands free, so just my personal choice.

Ultimately, I think awareness is more important than the bag per se.

Happy and safe travels!!!
I agree: hands free! Otherwise, my DH complains he has to carry everything!
Thank you very much, Oryx816!!! :flowers:

i always take a smaller bag or clutch with me on travel. the workhorse bag is always different bag, with closure and sufficient size to accommodate all the necessary travel needs. i agree with you on taking your pico for your secondary bag.
