Have traveled with up to 3 Bs at the same time ~ two in a LC duffle ~ but also always take along a cross-body soft money/passport carrier that can be worn underneath my clothing. Am definitely not a great tourist and while in crowds remain super observant of the people around me. That LC duffle is a life-saver while traveling IMO.

Barcelona, pick-pockets and I would not get along in all probability. Thanks for all the great travel stories, I am forewarned.

Visited Paris and Barcelona for the New Year's festivities (Barcelona is fantastic!) and did not bring any of the Hermes bags but did bring a few CDCs and clic clacs. Like a few others, was just too afraid to. However, I did bring my Bottega Veneta Maxi and Chanel HalfMoon WOC when needing to be handsfree. Those bags are just the best for travel. I just purchased an Evelyne TPM and so will probably start to bring it along with me moving forward.

I never carry a K or B on a long haul trip- have taken them on a quick weekend getaway to certain appropriate destinations. My go to travel handbag is a bolide, and the Evelyne is great for really casual days with lots of walking/ sightseeing. I often take both, but I'm trying to pare down.
I always take a clutch or WOC as a dinner/ theatre bag, and I rarely travel without a Longchamp.

I need some bag advice for my upcoming girls-only getaway trip to Chicago during Easter long weekend. We will be doing tons of sightseeing, shopping and fine dining at night for 4 days.

I'm thinking to bring either my jyp 28 in rose sakura or my new B30 in orange poppy with chanel woc or evie PM. I did a quick search on the weather and it seems like it might still chilly and windy at that time. What would you bring if you were me?

TIA!

I always do a lot of walking in Chicago. I would take a bag with a shoulder strap for day and Chanel WOC for evening.

I bought my J31 with me last trip and it hold well against wind, rain and snow! I changed my leather shoulder strap to a silk knots to reduce the weight. So it work perfectly fine for me😊😊😊
just a J31 in travel shot to share with you and hope you enjoy your time in Chicago

Thank you for showing me your traveling pic! Love that red jyp of yours! Did you use maxi twilly or a 90cm carre as the strap? My jyp is made of swift and I dont know how it will act against wind, rain or snow weather... Maybe I should bring my Evie PM instead just to be safe against chicago weather... :confused1:

Thanks grapegravity 😊😊 yes, you can either use Maxi twilly or 90cm scarf, See below as an example of how you can tie it and use it as strap. But I did it slightly different, I tie the knot on the hook instead.
Indeed your J28 swift is much light weight than my J31 clemence leather. And Evie PM is good alternative as well. I use my Evie TPM for short trip too.
Hope this helps😊😊

Thanks so much for the picture, it totally helps me! I will try it with my 90cm first with J28, then with evie :D

I would take the Evelyne. I keep an Envirosax in my daily handbag for various reasons, and I find that if the weather really starts to get terrible, popping the bag into the nylon bag works just great.
