Do you travel with your H bag?

LuggageForward probably isn't an option for frequent short trips. The problem is that they cannot control issues at customs (for international travel) or with specific carriers (they use FedEx, UPS, and DHL depending on locations), and therefore request significant lead time in order to guarantee arrival on a specific date. Usually my baggage ends up arriving early, but that is not a given; LuggageForward likes to pick up at least a week in advance, for example, for a typical international shipment. HTH.

I was wondering how everyone feels about traveling with your Hermes bags. I'm too nervous to put one in checked baggage and do worry when I'm leaving it in a hotel room even in my locked luggage. I normally travel with only one Hermes purse and just hope for the best.

Does anyone else have these worries or is it only me?

:confused1:
I never care about it.
I put my jewels , those which I wont use for the day long, in the locked box of the closet and that´s it!
and speaking of the bags, I´d say that I get to left behind, in the hotel, for the house keepper to see them, and ever try on, 3 nice Birkings, and 2 Fendi Peekaboos,
mine and my sister´s
it was in Paris, for the records, in Lutetia Hotel

Yes! I just received my Herve Chapelier in XL size and it fits 35b and tall Bombay better than my le pliage. Thank you all for telling us about it.

I just tried to place an order for this item but the site wouldn't let me complete the order. It wanted my social security number and said it was optional but it wouldn't let me move forward without providing it.

:nogood:

Thank you Mindi B

I just returned from a trip to France and Italy and took my Birkin35. Thanks to this forum and all the wonderful women who have posted their imput I had purchased an Envirosax that I could carry in my Birkin in case of any heavy rainfall. But while traveling, I used it for more than rain. While trudging thru various airports, it converted my B to something I could carry on my shoulder, very handy while carrying various bags, carry ons, waiting in lines, etc. Through security and on the plane, it provided protection from anything grimy. Then it could fold up and disappear back inside the my B when it wasn't needed. So practical. And it was inexpensive. Thank you fellow tpf'ers!

Luvquality, which Envirosax did you get for your B35? The ones I have will only fit a 30.

For all travelling tpf'ers: any other suggestions for a travelling "sac" (other than its own dust bag) that will fit the B35 or Kelly 32? At the mo, I use an Anya Hindmarch dust bag, which is really a tote bag, for my B35s when they go through the X-ray belt and on the plane, and it is very handy for lugging the B35 through airports etc when I need my hands free. I have a few of them in different sizes and they are great protectors for my Hermes, they're pretty nice looking, and washable! but the one that will fit the B35s is getting a lot of wear and tear. So I need to find something else and give my beloved Anya Hindmarch one a rest!

I'm happy with Longchamp for traveling. I followed other tPFers advice and ordered one before the trip.

Info:
Longchamp Le Pliage ( size 3), B 30

I am taking an overnight flight to Europe tomorrow and was planning to bring my new 35B. Last night I had a nightmare of my beautiful bag being crumpled when I lay the seat down to sleep (full lay-flat seats in UA business-first). My husband thinks I am obsessing with no basis, but I am really thinking I might have to leave her at home! I hate putting my purse overhead since my wallet, passport and other critical items are in there. You are all well-traveled... what do you do? TIA!

I have travelled earlier with a 35B, and the way I did it, was I had it with me at all times during the flight, did not put it in the overhead compartment, so it would not get squished among other luggage. I made sure it was kept in the dustbag (to protect from any major scratches) and then in another one similar to the envirosax bag, so it has double protection from all travel hazards.
