Just planning my packing for a trip with kids. This time I will go with LV carry on luggage and Picotin. The Pico can be stashed in the carry on if needed, and the square base makes it great for under seat storage as well.

I like to travel with my Picotin too. It is so lightweight, comfortable and compact! Far less anxiety provoking than traveling with my Birkins!

Yes, usually a Birkin and a clutch. I never check them, ever, including scarves and shawls. I have even collapsed a Kelly Mou, put it in its dust cover, and carried it in my carry on. Also Silky Pop and Silky City are great for travel.

I was recently traveling through London's Heathrow and was told for the first time EVER, that my carry on was too large. I had to remove my scarves, Kelly, jewelry and hand carry them through Heathrow, along with my Birkin, until I purchased a magazine and got a plastic bag which then carried my Hermes = )

Wow you have patience which I could never have. I would have been up to make sure no one hurt my bag, I really don't care what anyone would think.

You're the same as my sister, Audreylita.
She would have been right up there - with a withering stare or a fullblown but very polite tonguelashing !
I'd be like you MAB630 !

In Washinton DC this weekend. Thank goodness I has miss UV in a Lululemon bag on tt plane. Tt passenger across tt aisle spilled his cranberry juice on the floor and it splattered on my bag!

Another thing, I always put my scarves in a plastic zip lock bag and put them in my carry on. Thank goodness I do because something liquid in someone else's bag leaked onto my bag during the flight and my some of my stuff got wet but my scarves were safe. Whew!

I rarely travel these days but reading all these posts really makes me think back to the days when i did a lot of flying, i'd have been apoplectic with some of these experiences - hell, just at the thought !

I was on a flight the other day and the flight attendant insisted I put my 40cm birkin in the overhead bin while taking off! I nearly had a heart attack. I tucked it in the corner gently, then I saw a woman with her junky roller luggage trying to jam in into the bin, next to the birkin. Slam, slam slam.. I wanted to scream! Luckily, it was fine.. I sat there thinking, if I said something they'd think I was a nut. Not many people have a clue of the value of a Birkin... I just kept watching her jam that luggage in with horror. Lets just say.. The time from take off until it was back in my hands was excruciating?

Were you able to take it out after take off or did you have to leave it there the whole flight?
