i usually travel with a B40 in crocodile thank god nothing happened to my bags at airports so far ! but after reading all of your experiences and since i travel a lot I'm thinking of using my large Goyard st louis as a protective bag for my B40s .. what do you think of that has anyone tried it ?

also if you travel with a B40 what do you usually protect it with?

as for my crocodile B35s i usually have them inside a regular leather B40 to protect them from airports or train stations in europe !

i'd appreciate your input

i forgot to mention that when i bought my Goyard st louis in paris it was folded and wrapped that was the way they put it in the paper bag so that definitely means its ok for it to be folded and placed inside a birkin when needed !

I usually have my bags in their own covers to protect then from demages This is what happens to my Birkins too when I bring then in my trips.lately I've been doing this to my Fendi Peekaboo which is much bigger to take in trips

Audreylita, Envirosax folds, rolls really, into a very small package. Maybe 1 inch by 3 1/2 inch. Fits easily in 35b. Great for travel (goes over shoulder while carting luggage, protects while on plane, if you're caught in the rain and it weighs nothing). I keep one in all my B's. I just wish they would make one in solid black.[/QUOTE]

I just ordered a black one - called licorice - from www.raincollection.com

Hi, does the size given fit a Birkin 35?

Hi, does the size given fit a Birkin 35?

Yes, but just barely. I would say it's a perfect fit. I just flew with my B35 last weekend and had a chance to try out my new envirosax. The only thing not covered is the handles, but that doesn't bother me. To protect the body of the bag from possible spills from other passengers on the plane, I wrapped the envirosax handles through the Birkin handles and tied a knot.

This thread also promted me to buy a bigger carry on to fit a couple of handbags, as well as all my jewelry, rather than packing them in my checked luggage as I usually do. And, for the first time, I locked my carry on after reading that some people have had things stolen while sleeping on the plane. Hubby thought I was being a little overly dramatic, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I travel with my 35 Birkins, I just stick it in the longchamp bag to go through security and put it in the overhead lockers on the plane. I do zip up the longchamp with my Togo & Clemence B's, the handles need to bend slightly but always recover. I should add that I'm super fussy about my bags but would rather have a temporary bent handle than some other disaster.

Now you see her, now you don't!

Got this tote for free (dept store promo) when i bought my ultimate all in one kitchen appliance.

Is ecstatic to find out it fits my SB2 all zipped up!!!

I can even sling it on my shoulder (slight tight squeeze though).

Love that it even came in gray instead of the standard black.

hi,
where does this envirosax com be bought?

Envirosax has a sale on some of their bags. $4.50 each, and if you buy 3, you get free shipping. Some of the designs I wouldn't be caught dead with , but there are some nice ones, too. I got a couple of the animal print ones.

I'm not affilliated with Envirosax, nor do I profit in any way from mentioning them. I'm just letting you know since many people here find them useful as bag "raincoats".
