Do you think diamond studs are appropriate for daytime?

i wear my diamond studs all the time day and night...i love them because i can wear them with jeans and a shirt or if im going out i can change and then they are dressy!!!

I have worn mine every day since I got them for my birthday in August.... I also wear 2 diamond rings, a diamond cross pendant and my watch is an Omega set with diamonds around the face. Can't beat a bit of sparkle!

I recently read a column suggesting that the wearing of any precious stones, especially sparkly ones, is not appropriate until after six (excluding one's wedding and engagement rings.) I was quite surprised to hear this, so of course I had to consult my jewelry-loving friends here.

Now I agree that huge cocktail rings or diamond tennis bracelets are probably better reserved for evening, in addition to long dangly diamond earrings. However, I own a pair of 1.5 carat total weight diamond studs (princess cut) that I often leave in 24/7! I always thought of them as a classic work accessory.

What do you girls think? Are diamond studs appropriate for day? Does size have something to do with it? Or cut?

I look forward to reading your opinions! :flowers:

Well I'm so inappropriate according to the column you read. I wear my diamond studs all the time, until I change my mind on what I want to wear.
I say that diamonds are appropriate ALL the time!!!! They are a girls best friend right?!

I think it depends on what you're comfortable with....studs are classic, I wear 1/2 carat in each ear (1ct total) pretty much everyday, at work, at the beach, everywhere..... If I had 1ct or more for each ear I may not wear them everyday, def. not at the beach, but that's just me.....

My diamond studs never come off. I can technically put 4 earrings in each ear but it is not often that I wear four pairs of earrings. However I always have my two pairs of studs which look great for work or anytime.

Just to make sure they don't come off even with the screw backing I took the plastic backings that look like tubes, cut them in half and put them ont he studs after the screw backing....they have yet to come off
