Do you think diamond studs are appropriate for daytime?

This is one faux pas I commit everyday. I love diamonds/jewelry and wear them every where and any time. Really, it is your jewelry, you should decide when and where you want to wear it, not a journalist!
i wear mine everyday, sometimes even to the gym. for me, it is a case of too lazy to take them off and when i at the gym, i don't want to risk losing them so the safest place is still on my ears. i feel that diamond studs can be worn any time, regardless of occasions!
That's ridiculous! 
Diamond studs can definitely be worn for day. As can many other types of fine jewellery.
There are some things that are definitely too dressy, of course.
The woman who wrote that, must lead a very subdued life!
I'm afraid that the picture that instantly appeared in my mind, of her, is of an old fashioned, spinster school teacher, if you KWIM?! All brown tweed and scraped back hair! :shame:

if they are small and tasteful I think they are fine. hell, depending on where you are at during the day, they are fine. it depends on the circumstances in my book:
ie; having lunch with the gals
getting a spleen-ectomy
shopping with a friend, visiting your OB-GYN
working at a construction site :weird:

Agree w/ everyone. Diamonds still sparkling during day time and they are beautiful. I wear mine day & night.
Later for that column! Studs are perfect for anytime. Before I lost one of my pair, I used to wear 'em ALL the time. Even on the weekends with sweats. The stuff about the wedding/engagement rings is just nuts! I NEVER take off my wedding rings...and it has nothing to do with the fact that my fingers have gotten a little fatter since my wedding day 4 years ago. Anywho, as for the cocktail rings, I think they look so cute, like, dressed down on the weekends with a cocktail ring on. I've seen girls do that and I like it.
Create your own style. Wear what YOU like and you won't care what others think. Don't listen to these people. I dunno how they get paid to jot down their opinions. Kinda like we do here, but they're gettin' PAID for it. I'm in the wrong line of work.

I wear mine diamond studs everyday. (4ct. total weight) I also wear a diamond bezel Rolex, my wedding ring (3 1/2 carat cushion cut) and 2 diamond bracelets on the other arm...its just what I wear everyday! I switch it out in the evening to different pieces.
IMO diamonds are meant to been worn...tastefully...but worn. Why buy them if they stay in your jewelry box? They make me happy, and mean alot to me (every piece has some love behind it) I say wear whatever you like and love it!

That seems crazy to me! What could be more "appropriate" than basic diamond or pearl stud earrings???
Not only do I wear my diamond stud earrings all the time (unless I specifically take them out to wear another pair of earrings) but I also wear a small diamond bezel set solotaire necklace all the time (again, unless I'm wearing something "special" instead.) They are my basic jewelry uniform. My pearl set is my other basic one.
