30s, definitely 30s. A 35cm will feel enormous to you. I am 5'2" on a very good day, wear heels and still feel the 35cm is a bit large. However, if you carry a lot of stuff, you will need a 35cm. I think it more depends upon how much stuff you carry vs. how large the bag is. If you need to carry a laptop or papers without being folded, you need a 35cm. If you don't, the 30cm will serve you well.

I need to carry 8X10 size books. maybe 30 will fit just fine. 35 might be too big on me since I am 4'11".

I think the bags are so different that it's really hard to compare based on your height. I am 5'1" (barely) and don't wear heels. The 30 was big enough for my stuff but just seemed too small to me...it was a handbag.

I am a casual person and I love the tote vibe of the 35... I love stuffing it, for example, when I go to a meeting and need notebooks, laptop, etc. It's just a fun, fun, fun bag to carry. I love the weight and heft of it. I am not girly at all.... so the 35 is just me, me, me!!

However, if you like to wear dresses at lot and are looking for a bag to go from day to evening, the 30 might be best.

What about a Hac 32 ? It is bigger than the 30 Birking and smaller than the 35, a good in between. Iam 5'4" and have both. I love my 35, but I feel that the Hac 32 is a perfect size for me.

look you could be 4cm tall -- its really what you want and how you feel about it. style is very connected to our personalities. that being said i would recommend a 30. i find the 35's painfully heavy and very generous in size for a "handbag."

For me the size always depends to the color.
I've got three 35 Birkins in solid colors (gold, brown and grey) one 30cm Birkin in yellow and a few days ago I ordered one in blue.
I think that bright colors make them look bigger because the colors are more noticeable

I would think the 30 would work better for you. The 35 can get pretty heavy with the weight of the birkin empty and with items in it. Try both and see. Also if its just the size you're wondering about - make a template of the 30 and one of the 35... carry it in front of a mirror and see how the size matches you. You can make the template out of a cardboard box, newspaper, etc... just as long as you have the dimensions correct - the templates should help you decide on the sizes.

^^ taking your time is a good idea. Try some different sizes on, if you can. I have also read somewhere on here that people have actually made "pretend Birkins" with cardboard boxes. It might help. Good luck! :tup:

finally, I meet some one who is same my height, yaaaahooo!!
I have a 30, and it fits me well. I wear heels ( about 2-3") and 30 still look porpotion to me. IMO 35 is too big and heavy...specailly when you carry it shopping.

Gosh! I too have a dilemma over 30 vs 35. I have ordered a 35 Birkin 4 years ago - Gold togo with orange lining (which has really delayed the bag) gold hardware. It is still not in, but they offered my a 30 in gold with gold hardware that can be mine now! I already have a blue jean Kelly in 32 that honestly seems small to me - HELP - I need your thoughts!!!!:nuts:
