Do you match your wallet to you bag?

I have a black-leather wallet, so I guess you could say it matches everything... (or not...?) ^^; although I love brightly-colored wallets, I always find myself getting bored with them after a few months, so lately I've been sticking to dark colored wallets :)

My wallet FAR from matches my purse. My wallet is a Coach signature dark brown one while my purse is a solid plum/magenta color (not sure what the style is called, also Coach). I bought the wallet first. Terrible matching! Hahah.

Never. It's against my aesthetic. Furthermore, I always want a wallet I can actually see inside my bag, so I make sure it's got color or shine or texture.

I totally agree. So many purses have dark linings, so it is nice to have a fund color to make it easy to find. I went from a light turquoise, to orange to my current wallet that is shiny, purple and has studs. :)
This is the most trendy wallet I have every purchased. It might have to get retired when the trend is over.

I have a mini navy blue wallet for small purse days.

None of these wallets match any of my purses. :D

I like a burst of contrast on the inside of my purse, but I could do a better job of coordinating, but I typically pick the best accessory and color at the time. I tend to like the same sets of colors over and over again.

I have two wallets...a Burberry one I bought seven years ago and a Sarah Mono LV wallet.

Neither of these really matches with most of my bags. I have one mono purse and one Burberry check purse but most of the time I am using these wallets with other bags. However, because of the classic prints I feel it works.

Normally, my main concern is that the dye from the wallet won't transfer onto the lining of my bags; or vice versa.

So, I tend to buy wallets of a similar colour, or tone, as the lining of my bags (either that, or metallics).

They may, sometimes, just happen to be of the same brand; but more often than not they aren't and it's definitely not a necessity, at all.

Having said that, it would be nice if there were a better range of very simple wallets, in a wide range of colours, available.

As I find that the choice is often quite limited, in the case of many brands. So, even if you wanted to match brands and colours, you would often find it quite hard, unless you were very flexible in terms of design.

I would have happily bought a pink-beige Chloe wallet, recently, but couldn't find one without a lot of extraneous hardware (which was lovely, but rather impractical).

so will this combo work? I'm beginning to think yes.

I think your bag/wallet combo is gorgeous

I recently got wallets in fun colors to match my bags  but I think the brand doesn't necessarily have to be the same.
