Do you match your bag with your shoes?

Thanks, for your answers. I always try to match the colour of my bag and with that of my shoes (or vise versa) but I may just give it up; finding the exact same shade can be such a pain--when I step out of my black shoes or boots. Although for events and dressy evening I doubt I could give up colour coordination.

The only thing I do is, if I am wearing black shoes, I wear a black or colored purse. If I wear brown shoes, I make sure my purse is either colored or in brown. I don't do that for red or any other color because it is too matchy for me. But I wouldn't feel right at all if I had brown and black mixed. That comes from old school, and it's hard to break that habit.

Nope - I've broken all of my fashion rules since joining TPF and seeing the daring way everyone else wears everything. I'll even pair brown with black, hopefully in the right way. I have a bag that mixes it right on the bag so that helps me out. But sometimes my OCD gets in the way and I want to match everything.

I love brown and black together, it's one of my favorite color combos!

I try to look coordinated, but I don't like to match. If I'm wearing a printed dress I will wear shoes or a bag to accent a color in the print and then neutral shoes ( like a shade of brown, gold, black or nude)

Yes this is what I do as well. I always carry a grey or black bag if I wear black shoes. If I wear brown shoes then I use a brown bag or grey bag. If I had a tan bag that I carried I would wear tan shoes but that is about as matcy as I get.

The only time I am really matchy matchy is when working with browns. Not sure why it just happens.

But other wise, I love all black outfits with a bright colored bag.

And I love a bright pink shirt or something along those lines and a black bag.

I think plain outfits need a burst of color and loud outfits need a bag to tone them down.

Hello ladies. Let me introduce myself. My name is Mike Roberts and as you can gather I am a bloke. I have never bought a handbag in my life, but I did refuse to wear a handbag bought for me by my wife many years ago. Also the only shoes I buy are the boring type bought solely for comfort.
You are all of interest to me however because I am a textile technologist who is also a software designer. I run a company that has just completed development of an e-commerce system that can colour match and colour co-ordinate over the internet. It uses the same the basic colour measurement principles that are used in computer controlled dyeing and printing machines used to dye fabrics and other products.
So we can colour match and co-ordinate any product that is coloured. That of course includes purses and shoes as well as all forms of clothing. The same system can also colour match and co-ordinate products for interior design such as carpets, wallpaper, paint, furniture, upholstery fabrics etc.

The system is being geared up for launch in the UK first of all and we are looking for potential business partners in the USA.
So I would like to ask you a question, given your knowledge and passion for purses and shoes who do you think is the best company in the USA for me to approach?

Mike Roberts
