Do you match your bag with your shoes?

I am obsessed with matching LOL
So yes, I match handbag and shoes! I never buy bag and shoes that are the same brand but i.e. I have a pair of black Prada ballerina with golden logo and I wear it with black Chanel with golden hardware. I wouldn't wear silver ballerina with that bag or golden shoes if I have a silver or bronze bag... So yes, I match, but in the sense of colors and styles.

I jumped on that post in D&S about the QVC sale and got a Maxx NY Black Quilted Patent Bowler for $100.

I figure it'll work more for my everyday use, as it could handle the cream cheese attack well. Plus I was carrying my Ditch today and thought I was going to have a stroke when one of the kids came thisclose to dropping a fork, prongs down, right on it.

I then noticed that the shoes I was wearing were a PERFECT match. They are black patent quilted flats with a graduated patent bow on the toe by BCBG:

Is it too matchy-matchy to wear them together?

I was carrying another bag one day when we were at the pool and the little one (4) threw an open juice box inside my bag. They have wiped dirty hands on my butt, thrown up on me, used my sleeve as a tissue, etc.

This is why I never wore nice shoes, clothes, and bags when I worked with kids! To answer your question though, I don't think it's too matchy. But this is coming from a very matchy girl :shrugs:

Depends on the overall match of the outfit; if I am wearing patterns, yes. I want shoes/bag same. And for very dressy events.
If I have a monochrome going, the bag OR shoes can be an accent, not both. I have sooooo many shoes and enjoy red or multicolor leather or blanket boots and feel matching bags would steal the effect.
If I am going with 2 colors in skirt and top, shoes match one, bag the other.
Other times, it's a hardware or texture match but color coordinate.
haha sorry long answer
short answer- sometimes when I feel like it

I don't make a big effort to match my shoes and bag (like the material and hardware color) but when putting together an outfit it is inevitable that they will match somewhat.
