No, I do not match my hardware to my jewelry. I don't even match my fob/charm hardware to the bag hardware. Whatever fob/charm I think goes best with the bag goes on the bag with no regard to if the hardware matches.

nope. Mix it up !!! I wish the oldest vintage Coach bags had silver hardware, but they don't, and that's what i own and use the most. I like silver and white gold and I barely have any yellow gold jewelry at all.

I used to have a problem with the whole mixing thing, but just with jewelry. All the jewelry had to be the same and I preferred silver so everything had to be silver. However this was only with jewelry. I never even thought to worry about whether my bag hardware matched my jewelry. I guess if I had a choice I would pick silver since that's what I prefer, but if a bag I liked had gold or brass hardware it wasn't something I considered a deal-breaker.

But recently I just stopped caring about any of it. I just wear whatever gold/silver/brass/copper. Whatever I'm feeling that day in whatever combination. I just feel like life is too short to worry about that kind of thing. And I prefer small, understated pieces of jewelry, so it's not that obvious anyway. Also I never even look at anyone else's jewelry unless it's something huge and glaring. Bags are my thing. If I'm noticing you, chances are I'm looking at the bag and not much else. :graucho:

I actually never gave much thought to this, but no, I never match my jewelry to the hardware on my bags. I wear whatever jewelry I like, which is usually silver because I think gold jewelry looks tacky most of the time, and then I carry whichever bag I want that day. If they happen to match, then it's simply a coincidence because I never purposely try to match.

Mine doesn't match. I always wear platinum/white gold/silver jewelry, but my Louis Vuitton bags have gold hardware. I actually used to be really obsessive about it, and I'd only want to wear bags with silver hardware, but that totally went out the window when I started falling in love with LV. :smile1:

I only wear platinum/white gold/silver so I don't match all my bags. When I can I choose the silver colour over gold in Chanel. I really don't like the gold Chanel. I have also chosen paladium hardware in Hermes.

I don't give it a thought, or notice on others. I notice their bags, but jewelry, no, and if it matches, never, don't care. I never realized till this thread, I couldn't say what some one was wearing a week later but remember purses always

I never gave it a lot of thought but my watch and wedding/engagement rings are a combination of white and yellow gold. Most of my other jewelry is yellow gold. I have some bags with silver and some with brass but I didn't go looking for one or the other.

I don't necessarily buy exact match accessories with my bag, but for some reason it bugs me to mix silver hardware accessories to brass hardware bags and vice versa. I am trying to get past this because I have a brass h/w bag coming and my current accessories are silver h/w which I love and don't want to have to buy new ones right now.

Anyone else? Or does it completely not bother you to have both going on? thanks!

edit: sorry- I meant purse accessories like wallet/wristlet, etc! sorry
