Do you ever wear a HS as a headwrap as in H.com?

I did that once and my mom was horrified by such a casual use of a scarf! She only let it go because it was showcased in the booklet ;)

I've tried the headscarf, but I always look like a maid, just like others look like a stewardess with the scarf around their neck ;) maybe I should try again now that I have a MT
Too funny!! I feel the same way.
The only size I've been able to make work are the pocket squares. They make nice, colorful headbands.
I'm not quite ready for a turban. I think that you need to have both great style and a lot of confidence to pull this off.

Thank you all for the inspiration!
I very often wear my scarves on the head... Actually it's probably the way I use them the most! I find it easier though with the cotton ones, the mousselines or the pleated ones. Regular twill 90 centimeters tend to slip more easily... And they're too bulky on my head - too much fabric I presume!
But it's a lot of fun to play with them this way :-)

I do. Perfect for BHDs

Headbands, hairbands (with scarf rings or without) 'Queen'-style, 'Spanish'-style, prairie-style (gavroche triangle knotted at the nape of the neck) covering a chignon, round a chignon, round a hat...

Hair should not be newly washed if you're worried about the silk sliding. Tie tight and use a couple of grips, they hardly move if you spend just a minute

I love this thread. Thank you for doing this :)!!!!

Not strictly as the head-wrap as seen on h.com but other ways more generally

Twist front, final knot behind

Hairband with knot at the back (no twist to the front)

Headwrap (with hair-comb - optional). Bias but only folded in once, knot to the front

Knot at the back through scarf ring

Hat bad with Romance (can be around the head too)

70 worn 'Spanish style' then bring the tails round and secure with Mors

This is beyond helpful and fabulous, thank you!!!!

Love this thread revival! I would love to wear scarves on my head more often....anybody have the guts to wear turbans? It's over 100F where I live right now so the more my hair is off my face the better!

Hi hon- hope you are well. I always youtube for ideas on how to wear scarves. Try it, and post a pic if you get it done :)

Wonderful hairbands Honeylocks, do I spy a Bain de mer and maybe a Mythique Phoenix?

Thank you both:flowers: I've so enjoyed playing with head wraps , and I shall definitely be sporting a turban on the beach and possibly hiking in the Alps …. though a hat does keep the UVs off the aged skin .
Still a scarf will be carried at all times , so useful .

I stayed with a French family years ago and another house guest sprained her arm and used her H scarf as a sling. It was a classic pale pink one , probably Springs or B de G .[/QUOTE]

Thank you @HoneyLocks, you live up to your name beautifully, I also espy a couple of twin scarves
The scarves featured are
www.hermes.com
Printemps de Thera
Maitre de Foret
Bain de Mer
Mythiques Phoenix
Voyage de Pytheas
Ciels bycantinnes

I only now noticed, that some pictures are now shown multiple times. Sorry, that was different when I was posting them *blush*

Honeylocks, I missed you!

So sweet of you to say that :girlsigh:

I usually wear mine around my neck but occasionally wear it as a headwrap. I find the 70s stay on better around my head than the 90s.

Kyokei, I remember one of your early posts, you wore the Tyger Tyger scarf on your head and took a selfie at some cafe or bar. It was a truly impressive shot, you mind sarting that here?

Thank you all for the inspiration!
