Do you ever feel like your bags aren't 'good enough' to post about or reveal?

Personally, its not because I dont want to share my bags or feel that they arent good enough or anything in tpf.. its just that I dont like taking pictures of bags in general (am not the type) even if I do own some lovely pieces (high or low end), not sure if anyone will get me. But I do appreciate other people sharing it tho!

This isn't directed at anybody in particular and I love this forum. I am just wondering if anyone else feels this way. My bags are all pre-loved. I really enjoy them. But they aren't Bals, LVs, or anything like the beautiful bags I see posted here. They are not on trend and cost me under 100.00. I just don't think anyone would be interested in seeing mine when there are so many more expensive and beautiful bags posted here. Is it just me?

I have been on this forum for several years. I own bags of all price ranges - Madewell, Coach, vintage Dooneys (some of my favorite bags), Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, Linea Pelle, JW Hulme, Antonio Melani. I love seeing bags of all price ranges & styles, so please don't think anyone wouldn't be interested. I am now in a position where I can afford more "premier" designer items, but I will always *love* a bargain, and a lot of my bags are secondhand, including from estate & garage sales. I enjoy seeing a $20 pre-loved Dooney reveal just as much - and honestly probably more - than I like seeing a brand new Chanel reveal. Right now I am shopping for a new LV, but just a couple of weeks ago I bought a vintage Burberry at a yard sale for $5. Today I am carrying a vintage bag from 1994. A lot of my Dooneys are even older! I rock those bags and I still post them in the "what are you carrying today" etc threads. It doesn't have to be current-season Balenciaga or Hermes to be "worthy" of this forum, IMHO.

My point is that there are different price ranges here, but one thing we all have in common is a love of bags. There is something here for everyone.

Also - I LOVE your idea about an "under $100 reveals" thread. I have quite a few bags I'd love to contribute in there! I think you'd honestly be surprised at the positive responses you would get.

Actually I am a bit borred when a new LV speedy or Neverfull is revealed - well options are DE ore that monogram style - duhhh
Chanels are nice - but they kind of look the same to me, caviar leather in black or not.

I love bags, I really do but I don't think that higher end brands offer more quality.
I have Pradas, MCM, Aigner Munich, Mullberry and Tod's but they are not better quality than my Furla, Coccinelle, Bree, Coach or Dooneys. For me Dooneys are bag heaven because they are really hard to get where I live and I adore the craftsmanship.

When I was still in college I could not imagine that anyone would spend more than 35 Euro on a bag. One day I totally fell in love with a company called Bree. The leather and the craftsmanship was just georgeous. Back then - it was about 2002 - I could not imagine that anyone would spend 250-300 Euro on a bag.
So I would just drool over them - because on my way to university I had to pass all the fancy boutiques every single day.

One day we went to Paris with some friends and we shared a room in this budget hotel. Next to the hotel was a shop where you could get all the cheap stuff for one Euro. I had forgotten something and I was sure to find it there. When I entered I couldn't believe my eyes. There were my drooled over Bree bags sitting on shelves for 20 Euro. At first I thought they were fakes - but no, they were the real deal. Some had little flaws but others were perfect. I got 3 bags - one polished calf skin with suede lining and two other bags for 60 Euro. So I asked the SA why they sold these bags for that price and she said - you know nobody knows the brand here so they have no value to us.
so ladies - money is not alwasy related to quality!
These are the two bags that started my love for quality bags.

Yay! Nice to see BREE bags. I have two in natural tanned leather.
Congrats on the bargain you got on those - unbelievable!

It's easy to get sucked down the rabbit hole here. frankly, i wish more would post 'different' things not that i don't like the more typically known but something new would be nice to see...

To be honest, i mainly carry non designer made in my own country, with top grade leathers that are hundreds vs thousands. They just suit me and my comfort zone...

For the most part, we all share the love of bags and small accessories and enjoy seeing them no matter how much they were or how old, i'd be lying if i said the snark doesn't show up here, which is disappointing and as others have said definitely makes this place less fun.

From what i have seen of your collection you have great bags! keep posting and your idea of under 100$ finds is great! My current go-to would apply .. since i snagged it preloved

I think I just might start a thread for under 100.00 reveals, just have to take some pictures.... Thank you for posting in my thread, and thank you to everyone who has, you are all very kind. :)

Yes. I'd love to have some from the Stockholm collection- but I am scarred to get one because there will be marks.
I know that these are supposed to have signs of wear and tear and that this is what makes them unique- but up to this day I will not use my natural tanned ones in the rain!
How do yours hold up to rainy weather conditions?

These are my two BREE bags:

I got both in 2013. I bought the "school bag" like in March and got the "Speedy" like as a Christmas present. The school bag was sitting a while in my wardrobe whereas I used "Speedy" right away and daily to work. Treated her with the stuff BREE sold at that time and did not care about the weather or about oily hand skin. These are the results:

This bag has watermarks all over her and colour transfer (denim jeans) on the back. Forgot to take a pic of the colour transfer....
So, when I finally started to use the other one I was more careful. Had her sitting in the sun for a few werks to get the vachetta darker. I used Collonil spray and gel on her instead of the BREE products. Still give her a good spray every few months. This bag looks way better thanks to the used Collonil products. Also, I try to use her when I wear long tops so it does not rub on my jeans. I did not use her when there is pouring rain, but she already experienced light drizzle - without getting stains.
Sounds like it is a pain to use them? For me it is not. I like leather that develops a good patina and I do not care too much about the bags when I carry them. The school bag was with me on several day trips this year. The leather itself is durable. But, if you want your bags to stay perfect or if you do not like treating your bags regularly the Stockholm bags are not a good choice.
(Sorry for entering the thread and getting off topic. :))
