Do Chanel shoes run true to size?

I am usually an 8 and I had to get a 7.5 (I have narrow feet)....see if you can try them on somewhere

Chanel is a French brand, but is made in Italy. Is the sizing French or Italian? My daughter reliably wears a US size 7 (I can't remember the last time we bought her any other size, but she is on the smaller end for length and the wider for width but still a size 7B.) So would she wear a 37 (assuming Italian sizing) or a 38 (assuming French sizing) in Chanel? Thanks!

Has something changed with Chanel sizing? I always wore a 39, my regular size, but bought some new Chanel flats over the weekend and the 38.5 fitted perfectly

Of the Chanel shoes I've tried on, I range from a 39.5 to a 41, but in non-designer shoes I wear a size 9.

I wear a US sz 6 and Chanel 36. I think the flats run large (wide).

I find that Chanel sizes vary with style. I'm a straight 8.5 US, and I generally wear a 40 in Chanel heels, 39 in flats.

mooks: I just think all the shoes run funny. I recently bought two pairs of the stretchy flats, both the same style (just different color) and they were both different sizes and fit the same, so it's the shoes that are off, not your feet

I'm a 7.5 or 8, usually 8 and I have been able to wear a Chanel 38, 39 & 40 in some shoes!

I'm a US8, AUS 7.5, and wear Chanel in 38, in European sizing I wear 38 in pretty much everything.

Thanks everyone. It sounds like she should really wear a 37 or 37.5, not a 38, but maybe given the inconsistency in Chanel sizing I should give it a whirl.

Do they fit more or less "to size". I have been wondering but have not had a chance to check out any shoes yet.
