Do any LV lovers also own MCM handbags?

I have an addiction to the keychain wallets most brands are making. I have one by LV and one by MCM. I love both equally! What I like about MCM - their use of fun colors. What I like about LV - their classic colors.

MCM does better with pretty and appealing fun colors. LV does better with classic colors.

I am happy this thread is getting back to normal. I am happily surprised to see how many LV lovers also like their MCM purchases. I know I will be still be a devoted LV customer. I may still also buy more MCM products.

I’m not a fan but I don’t generally care for obvious logos. My small LV collection is DE and DA other than a couple of SLGs that are only a available in mono (TP19 and RCP).

I own 3 LV bags, 2 LV wallets and 2 LV boots. On the other hand, I own a lot more MCM: 12 bags (3 from the 1980s), 3 wallets, 2 charms, 1 sleep mask, boxing gloves and 1 scarf. In King of Prussia Mall, LV and MCM are right down the hallway from one another.

I have a history with MCM that dates back to the 1980s when Michael Cromer owned it. MCM was very ostentatious and flashy in the 80's and it was logo heavy. It was very expensive and popular in the 80's and considered a top brand. Michael lost it all to tax evasion, then Sung Joo Kim came in to rescue and revamp the brand. It is very popular in Asia and getting more popular in the states. I have noticed many more people wearing MCM and they have yearly sales, so that helps. The prices are also creeping up steadily. In the 80's the brand was poised to be on par with and even surpass LV. Now that is unlikely to happen but they are both amazing brands.

(Sorry for anyone who saw my goof ... hit the post button too soon.)

Anyway, funny you'd say that, because looking at the pics in this thread, I was just thinking I'd have to go into the MCM next time we're down at our "big" mall ... which ironically is KOP. Yes, it's with the new Bottegga, Choo, Fendi, etc, in the section that now joins the two "former" malls. I've seen that. I should probably go in next time.

I bought the MCM medium Reversible Liz Shopper then returned it and rebought it again. I went to a Louis Vuitton store and looked at the Speedy and Neverfull. I am still going back and forth. My husband wants me to keep the MCM and buy a Neverfull or Speedy. I, as a relatively new bag collector, am unsure if I want to sink that amount of money into these brands at this time
when there are so many bags I want to add to my collection.
Here is my MCM....
