Do any LV lovers also own MCM handbags?

So glad I stumbled upon this thread! I recently started looking into the MCM Mini Backpack as an alternative to the PSM (which costs more than I'm willing to spend on LV canvas items at the moment).

I was wondering - do MCM items like their Mini Backpacks ever go on sale? Is it one of the brands where only the seasonal / less popular items go on sale? Just want to do my due diligence and see if I can wait it out before picking one up at regular price. I never get to ask this question with LV lmao Fingers crossed

I just got the PSM. Oops... but no regrets so far. I won't rule out the MCM Mini Backpack in Cognac as a future purchase if I really love this style, but as soon as I saw the PSM in person for the first time I had to have it.

I just purchased a the furston (sp?) Leather embossed bumbag because I just can't justify the price of the LV and this last price increase has just turned me off from LV and the bag is never available. I can't wait to see the quality of the MCM leather, from the reviews people seem really happy with it.

The MCM canvas is much thicker 11 coatings vs 7 for LV. The Fürsten beltbag has no leather Details. It is an awesome bumbag though. Very carefree!

I received the canvas fursten yesterday, the canvas is much nicer than LV! I thought I was getting the stark bag, that's what was pictured on the website, I'm sending it back. I hope the leather version is closer in size to the LV bumbag.

The older version of Fürsten Is exactly size and shape of the bumbag. The sometimes appear on bloomingdales neimans or saks

Since many LV handbag lovers own monogram LV's, I was wondering if anyone also owns MCM handbags. Since both companies offer canvas logo handbags I thought I would ask.

Yes but I prefer the hard leather pieces. Ive been everywhere with them and they always look new. The inside is also very nice. I definitely like their international young appeal as well.

I collected first MCM the LV. MCM quality is very good I have 30 year old bags looking brand new still!

Looked at mcm mini backoack before buying my Palm Springs mini when it first launched. I was not at all impressed by the mcm. Not for me at all .

Yes ! I own 2 vintage MCM bags from Germany.

I really love that the MCM bags are so well made.
The bags in the pictures are each more than 20 years old.

That’s a hard NO! The style itself is not my cup of tea. It’s PVC, not coated canvas. And it’s made in China and they still have the audacity to charge those prices. Nothing special, nothing original, and certianly not remarkable.

Old post, but MCM is now made in Korea, not China.

Thanks ! The ones I have are from Germany. I like the old ones more than the newer Korean models.
