I bought the Medium Liz Tote in September and I love it. It’s one the the best purchases I’ve made in years. I chose it over the LV Neverfull because I prefer black, gray and silver (and obviously, price LOL). It matches much more of my wardrobe than my LV items. Currently it’s my only MCM item, but it has worked out so well for me, I’m considering getting it in the powder pink and gray combo. I’m not really a fan of any other color combos, but I think the quality is great. Also, the accompanying pouch is actually a full on handbag. It fits a lot. I carry it separately all the time and have even added a crossbody strap once. This bag had brought me much joy.

So glad I stumbled upon this thread! I recently started looking into the MCM Mini Backpack as an alternative to the PSM (which costs more than I'm willing to spend on LV canvas items at the moment).

I was wondering - do MCM items like their Mini Backpacks ever go on sale? Is it one of the brands where only the seasonal / less popular items go on sale? Just want to do my due diligence and see if I can wait it out before picking one up at regular price. I never get to ask this question with LV lmao :P Fingers crossed

I believe all their items go on sale but I’m not 100% sure. Hopefully someone else will chime in. I bought my MCM bag from Saks when they were having a gift card event. That made it more beneficial to buy it there.

I have both bags and tbh I haven't used my MCM mini since getting the PSM haha... I had bought the MCM first as I had the same thought as you, but eventually caved and bought the PSM. I can say that I have no regrets buying the PSM! :giggle:

This is exactly how I feel. Also the saturation of Lv in my area and the current reduction of quality has me looking at the MCM brand. I'm worried my Givenchy soft medium is too precious to travel with so I'm looking at some canvas pieces. The MCM bags sell out before they go on sale. Some times on nordstromrack.com you'll find an odd bag but the cognac bags are never there.

The young vibe is palpable! My fiance is from France and he calls my mongram LV's my "grandma bags". This is because young people in France don't wear lv because the price point also the don't live off credit. You have to be bourgeois to afford it so older women generally wear them.

I have yet to see the mini Bebe boo backpack go on sale. It one of their best selling bag. It might this year since I think the trend of mini backpack is not strong as it was in the past.
MCM generally offer sales on everything to make sure the new upcoming collection has space to showcase.

I have a quite big mcm collection before I started collecting LV. In comparison MCM has a better cost benefit and is sturdier made. I have MCM pieces that are 20 years old not one popped stitch or tarnished hardware. Nonetheless I had been bitten by the bug and bought 18 lv this year. So I will see how they hold up. All I can say is that 2 of the sleedys lock is already tarnishing MCM goes on sale also in Cognac they usually have a good summer and winter sale.
So I am in a dilemma. I have plenty mcm backpacks and they are known for the backpacks but!!! I want a palm springs mm. I got the montsouris already but when we go on trips it doesn't hold what I need. Now my mcms do since I have different sizes but I still want the ps mm. Can someone talk me out of it????
