So the OPI base coat I bought on eBay arrived today...

THE BOTTLE WAS EMPTY!!!:sad::cry::crybaby:

Not "it leaked out in the package" empty, but "she sent an empty bottle" empty!

So I entered a problem report with eBay saying that the bottle was empty with residue around the neck, but none in the packaging and she wrote back, and I quote: "It was new & sealed. Your lying." OUCH!!!
Ugh! My eBay order came today & they sent an incorrect polish. I ordered 2 Ink polishes and the Ink thinner & one of the polishes that came is a color I would never order. At least the response I got from the seller was very cooperative. I have a headache just trying to figure out what to do cause eBay makes it so difficult. What also helped me is I found the seller's email address on my PayPal receipt & even tho ebay set up a resolution acct, I directly emailed the seller.

Ebay should have a resolution process closer to Amazon's. They encourage you to contact the seller. It makes it a lot easier.

I outsmarted ebay - the seller & I have emailed each other a couple of times & he said to text him the shipping receipt for the return. If it all works out I will recommend him. I noticed he sells Couture too. I don't have any them yet. :thinkin:

Definitely going to look for the OPI. I'm tired of dreading the removal.

I'll probably just wait until I get a different base. I just don't have time to let RNP dry. If I tried using RNP I just KNOW one of my kids (almost 3 yo and 7 months) would sense it and ensure that it got smudged. I hadn't done my nails at all since having kids until I found out about SOGs. Their instant "dry-ness" is what sold me.

I only use OPI base. I had too much chipping with the gelish base and the Vitagel came off on its own within a couple of days. There are many people who have had a similar experience with Vitagel, so you might want to google it before trying.

OPI base works great for me but I do know they has some issues with some early batches. My first bottle started to glop up pretty quickly. Now I open and check the bottle in the store before purchase.

Good luck.

My empty bottle fiasco has finally reached a conclusion. I "escalated" my dispute to eBay's resolution team and they issued a refund within the day. Funny thing...that seller hasn't listed ANYTHING for sale since the batch that included my order. She had another bottle of GelColor and I emailed the person who bought it to make sure she wasn't taken, too. She emailed back that her's was fine. SO WEIRD!

I just ordered another bottle of the base off eBay. This time from a "Top-Rated" seller with 1000+ feedback!

I'm glad this worked out for you. I've spent thousands of dollars on eBay, and with rare exceptions the seller resolved any problems without my having to contact ebay at all. Only once has a seller called me a name and that was years ago. I guess I have been lucky.

You definitely got a bad seller there. They should have tried to work with you before you had to complain to ebay.

I think eBay may have rules against contacting other bidders to complain about a seller. I'm not sure, though so be careful.

Hi everyone! I'm new to the world of SOGs. I purchased the SensatioNAIL starter kit from Walmart and am on the hunt for more colors. Does anyone have any recommendations for must have colors from SensatioNAIL? I have looked and looked at this thread (and the swatch thread) and there are so many pretty colors, but I don't think my wallet can handle getting every single color all at once!

If you have an Ulta nearby, they have the Red Carpet Manicure gel polishes for buy one/get one 50% off. They are about $9.99 each and from the same company as Gelish, in fact they have some of the same colors. You can mix and match the brands, other than the ones that can only be cured with a UV light. There is also a 20% off computer in this weeks flyer, and I get them from their e-mails every day this week. Check out the RCM thread (there may be a swatch thread too, I can't remember).

I don't know if you already know this, but Walgreens has the Sensational & Kiss, and some CVS's have the Sensational. Some of us have been complaining that it is hard to find the new colors of the Sensational. Check drugstore.com too for RCM & Sensational.

I just did my first soak off yesterday and it wasn't nearly as bad as I was anticipating. I used the primer around the edges along with the base and top coat. I didn't find it impossible to remove. I used some finger wraps that I got from Sally's and soaked them in Acetone. I have definitely had worse soak-offs. I guess these just shows how different soak-offs can vary between people.

Very true, & they will vary in difficulty on yourself too.

I was at my Walgreens yesterday to check out their Sensationail selection and Pink Chiffon was on sale for $8.99 - $2 in store coupon - $2 manufacturers coupon. I didn't really need the color, but couldn't pass it up for $4.99 +tax.

My walgreens also had a few of the limited edition colors. They weren't on sale, so retail is $11.99 - $2 manufacturers coupon. Are there any colors that I should (well need) to get? They had Teenie Bikini, Ride the Wave, Sunkissed, Beat the Heat, and most of the Liquid Metal colors. Ride the Wave looks nice, but because I work in a corporate environment, I usually stick with more neutral colors. Thoughts ladies? My SOG collection is still small, so none of those colors are dupes for something I already have.

Teenie bikini looks like a very pretty pink and ocean wave also looks very nice..from the box color at least. I have not seen swatches of them though. I didn't get those bc I already have similar colors. I love jelly sherbet, love struck, and cabana boy..
