Hi everyone, just received a vintage natural tan birkin from my auntie..oooh! love the beautiful Ardennes leather but I noticed that the " made in paris " stamp is NOT in Gold or Silver but in Dark Chocolate Brown!! Does Hermes have such Stamp?? Its a 1999 vintage with stamp C in a square. Please advise.

Sounds correct to me. I can't say anything about the bag obviously, but this is the color stamp for natural Ardennes.

I was looking at a gold gp and on the interior side wall were the words "Hermes Paris" and to the left was stamped "TK P +". I know P is the date code but what is TK and the sign that looks like a plus sign (also kind of looks like a division sign)? TIA!

Hi I'm new to the forum and I hope I am posting in the right place. If not, please forgive me and direct me to the correct spot.

I went to the Hermes store in Highland Park Village in Dallas last month and checked out the hallmarks on the new enamel bracelets so I could make sure I knew what they looked like. A couple statements and questions:
1) The new enamel bracelets (caleche and printed) no longer say "Made in Austria". They are blank. The clerk told me they aren't making them in Austria any more. (In fact, they are probably now made in a country they don't want to mark on the bracelets.)
2) Does anyone know if the enamel bracelets on the secondary market marked "Made in France" are ok? I think the clerk said they made them in France for a short time but can't remember for sure.
3) The new marks on the Clic Clac look exactly like the marks on a replica site - exactly the same. This is disturbing. The replicas are more shoddy of course and the enamel doesn't fit into the frame as closely, but they look pretty exact on Internet photos. Any comments on this?

Thank you!

I thinking of puting my hermes bag into a dry box... the one that is used to put those expensive camera. I have attached a photo.

Do anyone try that? Is it advisable? My hubby put his camera into this dry box so that the lens will not turn mouldy. I thought of trying that as I worry that the humid weather in Singapore will affect the texture of the bag and I don't normally use the bag that often and I don't store bag in an air-conditioned room.

I have bad experience as some of my bags which haven't been used for sometime turned mouldy. :(

Any good suggestions?

Btw... the pic is taken from FIGHT MOISTURE WITH A DRY CABINET « SHIMWORLD

i don't know about the dry box in fact you'd need a fairly huge dry box for several bags but a common acceptable way is to use a dehumidifier in the room.

often could be individual signatures or references to a specific craftsman.

This might be a silly question but is there a specific name for the cloth fabric when you get a birkin or kelly that is by the straps and hardware. I know its used for packaging it, but I never heard a name for it before.
