Hope someone can answer this
This is referring to birkin: Why do some birkins have suede lined pockets and others are leather?
Example my chevre birkin pocket is lined with suede my Epsom the pocket is lined with leather?

hello. I am a newbie to this forum. I have tried using the search tool. I am trying to locate whether a Hermes bag that was bought in the sale is stamped or marked in some way to show it was a sale item. Any assistance in directing me to the correct forum would be appreciated. thank you so much.

What are the measurements of the GM & PM Jige and the Jige Elan?? Thanks!
Bijouxlady, I could swear there's a thread in the reference section with the measurements of these bags from some Japanese catalog. I found it while searching for Plume info. Let me see if I can find it.

Edit: Size reference thread, post #23; not sure if the first bag is the Jige elan, but it looks like it. Hope this helps!

From what I understand, anything purchased at a sale should have an S stamped on it somewhere. On bags, I've seen photos of it stamped next to the Hermes Paris stamp.

hi everyone. i'm new to hermes. i'd like to know why i see 2 different colour of dustbags one is orange and the other one is kinda like grey.. so is the grey colour dustbag fake or authentic?
TIA

Hi Scheam, the grey colour was used prior to the orange one so they arent fake. They should be a good heavy weight material and a heather grey colour.

Hi

I was wondering if someone might be able to help me. My mother in law has asked me to help her to sell a vintage hermes kelly that she bought in the 80s and has never used. It is an ostrich one and due to the endangered species act in the UK she is unable to auction it off as she has done with other Hermes bags. I am contacting vintage sellers to sell it e.g Decades in LA but I do not know what sort of price we should be asking for? I have attached a photo for your reference. The bag is 41cm long, has an M date stamp and is in perfect condition. Thanks so much for any help you can provide.

Hermes has different dustbags depending on the year. The best way to determine if a bag is authentic though is to look at the actual bag, and always try to authenticate it first!

Good luck!

Just a friendly reminder that selling on the PF is strictly prohibited. I am sure if you are working with experienced resellers like Decades, they will have no problem finding the right price. Good luck!

Oh I wasn't trying to sell here! Sorry if that is how it sounds but gosh no! When I have spoken to places like Decades they have asked how much we want to sell it for and we don't know what to say. Im worried if we don't even have a rough idea we might be taken advantage of. I just thought that with everyones' experience here you might be able to give me some advice of a rough ball park. Apologies if this is the wrong forum to ask that in.

Best wishes,

Hi there! I purchased a bag from a H-store last year and have different coloured dustbag as well (one's orange, the other is the grey(?) - the ones that comes with the latest years of bags). I wouldn't worry too much - I **think** it is the made-year of the bag that links to the colour of the dustbag. Afterall, it is the authenticity of the bag that is the most important. Hope this helps! :D

Hi,
I purchased Hermes Herbag old style ( 2 canvas bags ) from a Japan seller , but I couldn't find the marking stamp mark at the back of the flap. The seller said that he has authenticated the bag to the Hermes store at Kobe Japan and they said that it is authentic. But I am now confused , how can an authentic Hermes has no marking /stamp. Or maybe there is another location for Hermes Herbag stamp?

Anyone know? ^^ Thanks in advance

So I'm new to the whole Hermès Birkin/Kellybag thing, but I would really like to know how to get one. I know there is a waiting list when purchased at the H stores, but what about payment? Do you pay (half?) upfront or do you pay the whole shebang when you get the bag? Tia!
