I have a question about Hermes marking on bags. I know there was a thread about the cross stamp a long time ago, which suggested that it indicated the bag was made by a senior craftsperson in the atelier. Can anyone confirm this? A nice bb kelly32 was sold on ebay today (not by/to me) with this mark, and I was curious about it. There was also a stamp on the gold tag on the strap. Can anyone make out what it is? Many thanks. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=110374339266
hi, I am confused about the bags with S and four numbers behind it,
this is discussed earlier on in this thread but the answer was that there is definately no sale.
So what does SXXX mean than, is it special limited edition?
Is it normal for HAC to have a stamp that is inverted such as the one pictured here?
what does the 24x stand for? TIA

I am sending two vintage bags, a 1970s Kelly Bag and a 1970s black leather envelope ( clutch) to the New York store for refurbishing. They advised me to insure for appraised value. Can anyone suggest to me what that might me for each? Thanks so much, B Thomas
