I have a question about Hermes marking on bags. I know there was a thread about the cross stamp a long time ago, which suggested that it indicated the bag was made by a senior craftsperson in the atelier. Can anyone confirm this? A nice bb kelly32 was sold on ebay today (not by/to me) with this mark, and I was curious about it. There was also a stamp on the gold tag on the strap. Can anyone make out what it is? hi, I am confused about the bags with S and four numbers behind it,
this is discussed earlier on in this thread but the answer was that there is definately no sale.
So what does SXXX mean than, is it special limited edition?

There is also solid gold ( yellow and white) for bags with diamonds.

And Brass for vintage bags ( golden colored though), but this does apply to Kellys, not to Birkins

About the cross : some say that it is the signature marking for a master craftperson. That might be true, as I have seen quite a few of those bgas and they are always extremely well made.

The stamp on the gold tag on the strap is Hermes hallmark for gold plated.

The Sxxx means that the bag was bought at an employee sale.

It is not ab-normal to see an inverted blindstamp, though it is not usual.

The other signs are the craftperson's signature.

Can anyone help I have a birkin with a G in square I believe this is year 2003 but to the right stamped is X.31 does anyone know what this means.
