I currently have 2 ctw studs that I’m upgrading to 3 ctw. I am currently looking for stones. The 2 carats will seem smaller after wearing them also imo studs should be proportional to E ring. At least that the story I told DH and I’m sticking to it.
You have been absolutely right. Sometimes you have to try. Now I have tried everything between 2 and 6 carats, but finally I ended up with these 4.20ctw studs. I think it´s the right compromise. Acceptable size for my rather small earlobes, balanced size to my E ring. Thanks for advice

I’m late to this thread, but so glad you decided to go with the 4. I also notice, as I get older, the smaller the stone looks on me! I’ve been wearing my 2 ct ear rings since my early twenties, and now, they look really small on me. I suspect in 10 years, you might feel the same way, had you chosen the smaller pair. Those def will last you for a long time!

These are absolutely gorgeous. I’m so glad you went with larger stud. These combined with that e-ring is perfection. We need ear shots.

These are absolutely gorgeous. I second the request for an ear shot [emoji5]. Enjoy!!

Hi all,

I wanted to get a pair of studs that I can wear everyday and also for special occasions. So I would like a little bit of wow factor. I have a round face as well. Any recommendations on what carat size I should go for? Right now I’m thinking 1ct in each ear is a classic size but will it have the wow factor I’m looking for? I’m also not wanting to go to big and fake looking either.

Help a girl out!

I think it partly depends on how large you are and how much hair you have. I have one ct each ear and a lot of hair. I would say they're visible but now wow

I’m not large (quite petite) but my face looks quite big because of the roundness. So I suppose maybe I should go for 2ct each lobe. I do tend to wear my hair down as well to make my face appear less wide!

I have four pairs - 2.13 ttcw, 1.62 ttcw, 1 ttcw and 0.50 ttcw (the 1 ttcw and 0.50 ttcw are bezel set which makes them look much bigger). The 2.13 are new so I am wearing them a lot at the moment but the 1.62 are my favourite for everyday use as they aren’t too big but not small either. I am tallish with shoulder length hair and a round face.

I have about 1.4 each stone with pave around it and it looks good both casual and special occasion. I’m also very tall and have long hair.
this may sound strange but I also think it depends on your lifestyle, who you associate with, etc. I wore a more expensive watch than my boss who made a lot more money than me but it was understated, no diamonds, etc.
