Designer Brands You Will Never Buy

I was similar to you. I never could understand why anyone would buy a designer wallet. Then just last month I looked at the wallet I had and saw how ratty it looked. 😱
So I decided to get SLG's that looked as nice as my bags and bought a Chanel card case and Gucci wallet. I don't ever see myself buying multiple SLG's but it definitely makes me giggly to see a pretty wallet come out of my pretty bags.
I've had the opportunity to really evaluate quite a few brands this year so I while I'll continue to say "you never know", I feel pretty confident I'll never buy:
Bottega Venetta, Goyard, Marc Jacobs and Tod's - I actively dislike their styles
Delvaux - yawn, not moving me. honestly they look dated.
Burberry - I am so not preppy
And I don't see me buying any contemporary designer bags in the future except possibly Kate Spade or Rebecca Minkoff. In contemporary, I have liked some Michael Kors but hate where he's taken the brand. Coach used to be great ages ago but quality is not the best anymore - I hear my friends constantly complaining about their Coach bags. And I can't stand Tory Burch - I don't like her leathers and can't stand her logo.
The brand on the bubble is Hermes. The ONLY Hermes I like is the Kelly. But, I just...like it. I don't love it. Whenever I think of buying one I think - that is 2-3 Chanels or Diors (which I love 😍
and the idea gets totally shut down. And I have a real problem with a brand who feels customers should "work" to buy their merchandise. So I doubt I'll ever own Hermes.

LOL this is so me, i own nice bags but i still use the same long, black wallet that my friend gave to me during high school, it still looks nice though
Totally agree. If I'm spending that much on a bag, I want what I want when I want it or I want them to make it happen as soon as they can.
Stella McCartney - I admit she has some really cute bags, especially her mini quilted backpack with a chain trim on the flap (pictured below). But I can't justify paying THAT much on PVC/Fake leather.

Yes! I totally forgot about this brand because it's soooo not an option! I understand that some feel it's immoral to utilize animal skins for bags. And I respect their beliefs. But I do not share them. So no plastic bags for me. And, I don't even think her bags are cute. I somehow have some sort of block when it comes to Michael Kors. Yesterday, I passed the MK boutique and saw a really cute clutch and thought "Frick, that one's nice" - so although some models are pretty, I have some reservations towards the brand.
I didn't understand the balenciaga hype for the looongest time. i literally thought the motorcycle style bags were hideous. same goes for Celine and their luggage totes.now i LOVE those brands and their designs haha
I'm also not feelin' the bottega veneta brand. idk why. Dior bags also don't speak to me (although their makeup definitely does
)
As for SLGs, I am so disappointed in Chanel. Gorgeous CC flap bags and the Boy collection is perfection but... there SLGs really disappointed me

I never say never. While a certain brand (ex Chanel, Hermes, Celine) might not interest me now in terms of styles,etc, that does not mean that they won't make a bag some time in the future that I just have to get. I am mostly focusing on high end here, but it could apply to contamporary (mid-range) and lower end bags as well. I am personally not a huge fan of Chanel, Hermes, or Celine. Their styles don't really mesh with my personal style. But who is to say that several years down the road if I will still be into the same style or that they won't release bags that DO work with my personal style. I recently bought a new Burberry bag after steering clear of the brand for over 10 years. Their styles didn't match mine but I do really like the Small Alchester bag (similar to LV Speedy) so I bought that one. Never say never.
I love Burberry clothes and jewelry. Never have been a fan of their bag's but my mom just boughtnthe small alchester bag too after I showed it to her because I liked the way it looked.
