MICHAEL KORS: I've commented on a couple of posts about this before. The knock offs are not my cup of tea in the least but I "get" that he is offering designer inspirational pieces for those who can't of don't want to spend more. But, I also have two of his calfskin leather non knock off bags and they are workhorses. They leather (even of the metallic one) seems indestructible. They are a stylish alternative when I don't want to risk my designer purses. (And yes, I take of anything that can ID these bags as MK)

FENDI: LOL! Tell us how you really feel. 😜 I'm also not a Fendi fan. I liked the 2 jours at first but am so glad I didn't buy one. Overall, I just don't like what they are currently doing design wise.

And I'm one who is always for whimsy but I have to say the bag bugs and the peek a boo bags do look pretty juvenile to me too.

Lol, must have been in a right grump that day. Apologies to the bug lovers, to each their own and all that.

Is it Vera Bradley? The floral print cotton totes? Can't understand the design....

i think these bags really appeal to grandmothers... i often see really old women w/them or looking at them in stores. i think b/c they are lightweight? easy for older women to carry because they are made of fabric? and easy to wash if they get dirty?? i dunno... not my thing either

You're quite wrong in thinking that these only appeal to "grandmothers". And quite frankly to make that much of a blanket statement is quite insulting to anyone younger who may love this brand.......just because YOU don't like it.
My dd is 15yo and all of her friends in Middle School got on trend with this brand. Not quite "grandmothers" yet........I will say that VB has really worked to expand the brand so that it appeals to more ages and even has some leather bags now.
I like to be open to all brands because there is no ONE brand that appeals to me exclusively.

you're on the wrong thread if you don't want to read insulting thoughts on products you like, lol. people have said stuff about brands i like, but who the f&^% cares? it's just a bag, lol

She wasn't asserting that, she was just explaining her personal view of why many of people that she's seen carrying them were elderly. Anyhow, VB has a pretty strong Etro vibe to their patterns.

I'm not a VB fan so it's not a brand I would purchase, but I have to say, the big travel tote thing always looks so appealing because of its functionality.

And on the VB note, it seems to be very popular here in the south among the younger crowd.

Respectfully, I never said that I liked VB but that my dd's crowd does. It may serve you well to read carefully so that you fully comprehend before you make assumptions that aren't true.
Also, it can be very regional as Wildflower22 just stated, depends on where you live as to what people carry.
Oh, and as far as being on the wrong thread? No, I posted here on purpose, not by accident.
I never expect others to like the same things I do, why would I?

Interesting how many people say Michael Kors. He happens to be my favorite handbag brand because the data I have reflect a bags that last for quite a substantial period of time. I also don't look at his bags as knock offs of other designs because the reality is.... I don't shop in the price range of a double zip Prada saffiano tote.... At those prices, I'm looking for a new refrigerator or even making an extra mortgage payment. It's hard to interpret a bag as a copy cat piece when the reality is you would never even know an original (I say that loosely) exist due to your life style. Therefore I don't have a "never " on a brand but perhaps a line I draw for when purchases become foolish based on my lifestyle.
