MCM - I don't see what's so appealing about these bags. The studs just look tacky imho. And I'm not a fan of the light brown either.

Mansur Gavriel - Too plain-looking for my taste.. the silhouette is nothing special and its too big for my dwarfy body.

Anything LV monogram canvas - It's the contrast of colours that puts me off, plus I'm not a fan of vachetta leather. I like the more understated vernis and empreinte, but they cost a fortune ;-;

Anything that is loud, has too much bling and logos all over - think Versace, the Gucci monogram bags, Juicy Couture etc.

Goyard - the pattern just gives me a headache.

Brands that blatantly knock off really popular styles - DKNY, Rebecca Minkoff, majority of Michael Kors bags.. you get the idea.

Balenciaga - the style just doesn't appeal to me.. it looks too juvenile (yes, I'm an introvert when it comes to bags).

I love Michael Kors collection but would never buy or give as a gift anything that Marc Jacobs touched which includes LV. Now that he is gone I would considered something from the new designer. :graucho:

Outfits by MK are ok. I just don't like any of his bag at all [emoji57]

I don't see why there's so much hate for MK bags[emoji47] it's just a bag that is trendy, great price, good quality from a famous designer.
I used to be Coach girl, and said never buy MK bag, but once I bought 1, then I get it.. I have 5 now. [emoji5]️
They're such a nice & trendy bags, the quality is much better than Coach/ RM/DKNY/CK etc.

I still don't get why these brands are so expensive & why people crazy about them (LV, Birkin, Hermes, Dior)...Lots of my friends bought them though and I have touched, seen, feel the materials...hhmmm... Don't get it...

If you girls are smart, don't waste thousands of dollars on bags, that's a waste...
It's just gonna make haters gonna hate you more [emoji38] or pleased people you don't like.

Well to each their own [emoji3]

I am not going to argue or elaborate on quality of workmanship here. And I wouldn't say spending a lot of bag is a waste. I buy what I like to please myself because I deserves to and it's my own hard earned $$$$$. If haters gonna hate me more...I couldn't care less. And I never buy bags/shoes/clothes/jewelleries to please anyone but myself and perhaps to please my hubby once a blue moon. Hehe

Sorry for going off topic. Anyway for me....still NO to MK. If any of my friends or relatives loves MK, I wouldn't discourage though. Cheers!

I too am not a huge MK fan but earlier this year I ended up with a white bucket and a mini blue bucket. My husband saw me drooling over a Mansur Gavriel so for our anniversary he went out and bought me an MK bucket. He picked MK because he thought the pockets inside were the most functional (he's right about that). I returned the one he bought to switch colors and ended buying a white one on sale because I would never buy a white bag for myself. It was on sale so there was enough $$ left over for a little cross body. I use them and the white is already ruined from a dye xfer. How could I not? He tried so hard! I bought the Mansur Gav too BTW [emoji12]

i don't think we're not 'smart' because we spend thousands of dollars on bags. to each her own. i buy what i please and spend my money the way i like it. it's not a waste if it makes me happy.

I use to think that way, but now I am somewhat the opposite. I have done a big U-turn when it comes to bags. The design and attention to fine details is why I pay more. Expensive and moderate priced bags all have a purpose for me, but there are some brands like MK and MCM that I would most likely not buy.

+1 to all of it

If I can comfortably afford something and it makes me happy, to me it's not a waste of money. If other people see it that way, that's their problem, not mine. I'm using my money, not theirs, to purchase my bags so they don't have a say in it.

You will never please everyone. There will always be people who look down on those who buy luxury goods and, contrarily, people who look down on those who go for cheaper brands. If someone hates my bags, who cares? I'm not forcing them to wear or buy it.
