Does anyone else know what the current status quo is with D&G and their anti-IVF comments? I know there was a boycott over that-- is it still going on; did D&G retract and apologize for their statements (and in a serious way, not a publicity way)? I love how affordable their bags are, compared to other brands, but don't want to support anti-IVF designers :(

I like some of the bags with bamboo accents that Gucci comes out with, but overall I'm just not a fan of the brand-- don't want any of the bags with the monogram, the logo, or the characteristic stripes. I've seen too many fakes and now it just looks cheap to me...

I also don't get the deal with Goyard. I thought I was missing something so I visited the store in Boston, I still don't get the big deal. I know it used to be hand-painted but now it's all stenciled, if I was told correctly, so I don't see the appeal.

I hate all the current Givenchy handbag designs, except maybe the Lucrezia, but if the brand came out with something I like that's reasonably priced, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it! I can appreciate that their designs are different and innovative in their own right, but they just do not fit my taste.

I can't stand any type of bag that juts out at the sides, like the Celine bags, or Michael Kors Selma, for example. And I don't like open top bags. I have to have a zipper, unless it's a clutch. I'm kind of warming up a bit to flap closure bags a bit, like Rebecca Minkoff Love Crossbody.

Michael Kors (his stuff is EVERYWHERE), Tory Burch (meh), Rebecca Minkoff (quality is just not there), Dooney & Bourke (never been a fan), and most Coach bags (some are ok (the classic silhouettes), but most of them are just nothing special to me).

Michael Kors (I don't find his designs aesthetically pleasing and the market is over saturated with his stuff)

Tory Burch (I have 3 pairs of her shoes and love them but heard stories about the quality of her bags)

Gucci (I have one Gucci bag. Love it but noticed the quality isn't that great)

Kate Spade (Just not a fan of the foofy, girly bows and bright colors)

I don't understand the HUGE appeal to Louis Vuitton monogram or damier bags. They are everywhere and don't go with many outfits because of the print. The Neverfull to me just looks like a big tote, not much in terms of design there... This is all just me though. I guess I rarely ever seen a mono or damier bag worn with great style so they never impress me, and it seems everyone has one which makes them seem less unique and special.

I was like you for so many years. So I bought different brand all these years, Chanel being my fav. But since end of last year, I'm starting to appreciate and love LV Mono n DA. I still don't know why the sudden interest. My friends who knew I've been collecting Chanel advised me not to go into LV logo bags but I bought them anyway! Well it's something I can't explain lol. Since I'm starting to love LV Mono n Damier bags......I just don't care if everyone else have them too, just as long as I love them [emoji7]

Oh of course the main thing is if you love them! If you love them regardless of every other factor, then you should own it! But for me, the mono and damier bags are EVERYwhere where they affect my liking them. When I see them on everyone and their mother, worn with everything from flip flops to a cocktail dress, they just lose their appeal, unfortunately. I no longer think of them as special and so I cannot understand the hype. The only LV I have now is the Sofia Coppola and I love it for its quality and understated elegance. It doesn't go "I HAVE A LOUIS VUITTON BAG!!"

This is exactly one of my two problems with this brand. And it's not one I feel LV created - the theiving replica manufacturers created the issue.

Where I live 90% of the people who carry LV logoed bags are carrying fakes. I see them in far from luxury environments and in forms that are really bad fakes. They've become the butt of jokes. I don't know anyone who would be caught dead in them. Again, NOT LV's fault but the reality.

So since I don't like canvas bags or heavily logoed bags anyway, I can't bear to even see one of the LV bags.

It's only the very high end of LV that is rarely faked that can seem acceptable to wear. Otherwise my eyes cross when I see someone wearing LV. It's a shame. I wish the fake bags for all brands would spontaneously combust - while the person was wearing them. 😒

Michael Kors. They're everywhere and everything he makes has a giant, unavoidable logo on it which I hate.

Tory Burch. I usually like her stuff except for the ridiculously oversized logos.

Why must they plaster everything with logos?

+1.

I just found a pair of cute sandals yesterday but then saw they had an MK logo and promptly walked away. Gross.

Yeah, it's way worse on shoes than on bags. I feel like he is getting worse about this. A few years ago you could buy his clothing/shoes without the logos, or with very subtle ones, but now there is no escaping them.
