You know, another cool thing about carrying mk is that someone from this board might see you & mistake you for a "bum" and give you a couple of bucks out of pity. :P
Oh my gosh! That is so true! That would be handy!

I need to buy Christmas gifts! Where should I go to make this happen? I need an action plan!!!

:lolots:

Like I said, in my hometown, so you need to come to europe I guess :p
By the way, Furla is indeed much underrated. Shame.
I can't go to Europe to be treated like a bum with my MK bag so I will need something more local. Kinda defeats the purpose of being looked down upon as common folk when one can afford that type of trip.

Good suggestion though!

I guess, luckily, where I live in the US, I don't need to worry about that kind of ridiculousness. Thank goodness for great friends and great people!

Phew!!!!

To each his own I suppose!

I'm Common Folk, but even if I weren't I would still think your MK bags were beautiful!
:heart::smile1::heart:

I prefer very understated bags with less visible logos, such as certain Celine bags, Proenza Schouler, etc.

Jimmy Choo (nothing appealing so far)
Michael Kors (quality)
Valentino (cute, but not my style)
Versace (a little too blinged out)

I love love love bags but they are still just material things that carry your stuff. Too bad your comments are just childish insults. Maybe you should consider actually giving to the less fortunate instead of making them the butt of your jokes.

Ouch...someone woke up on the wrong side of bed today...

Handbags are SO MUCH MORE than just "material things that carry your stuff." That is why the Purseforum exists. It's to celebrate and showcase our love for handbags and the beauty of handbags. And for a lot of people (especially members here) handbags have sentimental value to them.

A material thing that just holds stuff is a free grocery tote from your local supermarket lol.

Wow, no sorry she is right at the end of the day they are just material possessions in our materialistic society. Yes I love bags, yes I love "stuff" but it is all just part of this massive consumer society we live in. When it comes down to it if the world was ending would having 20 Celine bags save you? No. It would not. It all comes down to who you are and who you have in your life, not what you own.

Ha..If beautiful handbags can enrich my soul, encourage me to do what I am doing and therefore maximize my contribution to this society, at the end it will mean more than monetary donation.

I agree in that a bag is more to me than just a material possession although it is that as well. It expresses a bit of who I am as well as providing a tool for organization , fun and sometimes a sense of humor. It becomes an extension of my personality.

I agree with what you said. And I also want to add that for me it can also be a symbol of hard work or an achievement if you bought a handbag after saving up after a long time working or bought it after graduating med school etc. and it can mean so much more if it is passed down from a loved one or given as a gift.

And I do think it can encourage me to do better in whatever I'm doing because it can be motivation to get more of what I want by working hard for it. I think of my purchases as goals that I set up for myself and I plan out future purchases like that as well. Birkin after finishing masters (hopefully) and a Rolex after (hopefully) a getting a PhD.

I think handbags just mean different things for everyone.
