I couldn't agree more. If he hadn't appeared on Project Runway, not sure he'd be worth anything. The bags are awful quality and look so cheap.

That's unlikely. He was already an icon - but most had no idea who he was until he was on TV and In discount stores and the suburban malls. He essentially discovered Derek Lam and Lazaro Hernandez, let alone his time at Celine - arguably the most beautiful period for that house. Phoebe philo may have made the Celine bags of now, which I think are hideous, all the rage, But the clothing is nothing compared to the kOrs era. I have no interest in Michael by Michael kors bags either, but the collection items are lovely.

Celine- the bags are ugly. I find it mind boggling how they ever became popular.

Mulberry- plain and boring designs. Reminds me of Mary Poppins. I wouldn't pay premium prices for something I can easily find for 1/5 the price.

Gucci has gone downhill over the past few years. They need to revamp their designs entirely. I haven't purchased anything from them since 2003!

Michael Kors I just can't stand.

Mary poppins gahaha true story . Mulberry is all the same :/

Rebecca minkoff - horrible quality. And really the same stuff that was edgy 5 years old just recycled.

Celine - they do nothing for me outside of the trapeze

Kate spade

:woohoo:

Louis Vuitton- There are many fakes in London, so even if I purchased a real one people would assume that it is fake. I also think that the designs are bland and rather unflattering.

Coach - Maybe when I'm older but to me this is a brand for a 'maturer' lady.

Longchamp - Their bags are made out of nylon. 'Nuff said.

Chanel - I think their bags are overpriced and rather plain.

I was thinking about this today for some reason and here is a thread on it...hmm. For me, it is probably Chanel. I love Coco Chanel. Love the clothes, fragrance, and I like the bags ok. It would be super cool to have the original 2:55 in black. But....I could never carry a bag that small, I would simply never wear it. Obviously they make the quilted bags larger, but to me they do not look as special as the original smaller size, too bulky, they lose their magic for me. Plus, the price is not worth it to me.

Bummer, because I love Chanel, but I think the bags are just not for me.

Agreed on Coach. Their bags used to appeal to many ages from young and old back in the day (around 1999-2011), but now... all their new bags seem too "old-ladyish." Something a young girl cannot carry without looking like she's carrying her grandma's purse.

Also agree on LV and Chanel. Too many fakes and their bags are rather boring and bland.

As for Longchamp, they DO make bags made entirely out of leather. Click on the link below to see for yourself. You only think they make just nylon bags, but that's because everyone prefers carrying their ugly nylon bags instead:

I'm no fan of Longchamp, though. I think their bags are also bland and too old ladyish.

And I don't like Michael Kors, either. I have nothing against their designer, though. Just his bags are not my style.
