The Submariner is actually a bit lighter than the Daytona! It's the Sea Dweller that is the very very heavy one.
IIRC, the weight of the Submariner is pretty close to that of a Daytona.
I love my RO, its one of my favorite designs.
I would want to know what that black case is made of? Is it carbon fiber? Some watches if they are just coated with PVD or some other black material it chips off and can look pretty bad after a few years. Cartier, really did a great job with the material they used to make their "Carbon" watches...those can take quite a beating. Also, I could be wrong, but I'd be willing to guess the AP chronograph is at least a bit more expensive than an steel and gold Daytona.
Very nice, but a little too busy for me. I find the Daytona to be much more classic hon.
Girls!! I have been informed that my grandfather owns a SS Daytona with a white face and white dials. It is not a panda dial though. I was admiring it all day today! I would love to borrow it and maybe one day swap out the white face for a black mother of pearl face. Although, the white face on the SS Daytona is really growing on me. I know that the SS Daytonas are very popular and there are many wait lists (some up to a few years) so I am just so grateful to have one in my family.
What do you ladies think about the white faced SS Daytona with white dials?

Not sure that's accurate. When the watch eventually gets serviced the dial, hands etc are all removed. Beyond that, in some countries, such as the US, Rolex has become less friendly about changing dials. They also keep your old dial if you are able to change dials, as they don't want people selling real Rolex parts to counterfeiters on EBay. In addition, changing the dial reduces the value of a watch if you ever go to sell or trade it.
