Multiple codes can come from the same factory. New codes are introduced all the time. Most lists available online are incomplete.

A date code does not guarantee authenticity. However, if I received a new bag with date code PH0901, I would urgently seek proper authentication.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Take a picture and post it here.
If you're looking for authentication, you'll have to hire a professional authenticator service.

I purchased a zippy wallet and it has a date code AB1148. I don't see a factory with AB. Can someone chime in and confirm if this date code on this wallet is a fake? thank you

Is a petit noe with date code AR9001 authentic? The format seems to be off but everything else checks out. What would the manufacturing date for that code? Thanks!

Hey! I found this on a previous post by an Authenticator. But the date for the DC is January of 1990.

I have one and it is in the inside pocket near the seam. Check in each side of the seam.

You did a good job and because of you I found the date code stamp just exactly where you said it, i couldn’t find it the first time because it is stamp without colors. Having said that i thought i have to sign up for this forum because of you hahhah. Just to hit like and thank you.

Ive been searching for a Pre loved Pallas clutch and have discovered many different fonts on the date code... what are some red flags of a fake as far as the font goes? Should there be space between the letters/numbers? Does the font change by year? I’ll add a few of the different ones I’ve been looking at. Thanks!

To make it simple, you are wasting your time. The date code is not a clear indicator of authenticity. There are plenty of fakes with perfectly legitimate looking date codes, while some authentic LV bags have puzzling date codes that don't follow the current FFWYWY model.

It's not about if a date code can be fake, it's the bag itself. Specific bags, not codes or parts of bags, can be authenticated if you meet the guidelines of the TPF Authenticate This LV thread. Or else get paid authentication.

At TPF we don't get into discussing aspects of fakeness, in order not to help counterfeiters.
