Date Code & "Made In" Questions

Hi,

Hoping someone can help?
I have a speedy 30 that has a code RT4121 but I can’t find any reference of RT being included in any ‘date code’ lists? Although I did see a fleeting mention in a previous post that RT meant made in France? Hoping someone may have some knowledge of the RT code?

If you bought it from the Louis Vuitton store, I am certain that plenty of other people have the same code. Not sure what you’re asking here.

I see this is your first post on here and you are confused about the date code. It looks normal to me however I am not sure where ML is. Tell us what part concerns you and why. welcome.

Looking thru date codes, haven't found ML. Maybe it's a code for a new place or a misprint for MI or LM.
Check with the lV boutique where you bought it.

I just bought an Artsy Empreinte and my date code starts with TX. I’ve never seen that before. It seems to be made in the USA as the LV patch doesn’t have a made in country. My first thought was is this the new Texas plant? If so, they did a great job on the embossing of the empreinte!

Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place. I saw a bag with the date code MI8905. I'm not an expert, still learning... But isn't this date code impossible? The year would be 95, right? But then that would leave "80" to be the month. Am I missing something or is it just a fake?

OMG I just saw this now on ebay this code on an LV bag I am looking to buy. Can I ask if you bought that bag with this code or was it a fake? Thanks

No, you've pretty much nailed it on the head although to be fair LV has been known to bugger up their date codes more than once or twice. The only way you can be sure is to have the piece authenticated.
