It's not about if a date code can be fake, it's the bag itself. Specific bags, not codes or parts of bags, can be authenticated if you meet the guidelines of the TPF Authenticate This LV thread. Or else get paid authentication.

At TPF we don't get into discussing aspects of fakeness, in order not to help counterfeiters.

do you have anywhere you'd recommend to get a paid authentication? Is "eBay authentic" a safe option? or poshmark authentication?

I am acquiring a preloved bucket pochette. I was told this pochette does not have a datecode in it. Seller said the datecode is in the main bucket bag it came with. The item is about 10 years old.

Can anyone verify this ?

Hello, I searched the forum and couldn't find anything. I just purchased the monogram bumbag at Louis Vuitton. I cant find the leather tab with the date code, my friend purchased one a year ago and she had the normal vachette tag inside with the date code. My bumbag has the Made in France vachette that cant up flipped over. The interior is all fabric with nothing else. Anyone know?

I believe the picture you have posted is of a counterfeit, not vintage, Mini Speedy. There are a number of things that are wrong with the item. Please have it authenticated.

How are the date codes made? Is each letter and number stamped by hand or do they have a gadget that they put them into and that stamps them all down at once?

do they make a bunch at the beginning of the week and then put them in after the bag is made or so they create them after the bag is made?
