There is a lot of red flags on the picture you posted for a Damier Ébène Cosmetic Pouch... I don’t believe this item was manufactured by Louis Vuitton.

Oh no...this is the post I made on the Authentication thread with more pics. (The authenticator was inconclusive.)

I desperately want you to be wrong but I know you're an expert. After looking at those pics, would you still agree?

Hey everyone. I too was wondering about my new speedy b. It’s stamped made in France but has an LA code which suggests it was made in a factory in the USA. Anyway I emailed Louis Vuitton Ireland for clarification and they got back to me with this response. I’ve attached it below.

Do you have any pictures of the made in stamp and datecode?

Hi! I'm looking at a black epic noe with the date code 9002A2 and have read that Louis Vuitton changed the date codes in 1990 to have the letters before the numbers but have not been able to figure out when in 1990 they changed the system. Is this a legitimate date code? Thanks!

If you have a link and you follow the rules on page one of the authenticate this thread you can probably have it authenticated there.

Thanks, I would but it is being sold through facebook marketplace and as far as I can tell that is not allowed? Please correct me if I'm wrong though. Mostly I'm just curious about if it is a possible date code or not as I have not been able to find out when in 1990 they changed it

No they don’t allow facebook sales posts. You can always try a paid authentication service like authenticate4u.
I’m also not sure when they changed the format exactly.
