Date Code & "Made In" Questions

I just ordered a replacement Artsy on the Vuitton website. I received it today and the first two letters are "TX", I have never heard of this nor can I find anything online regarding this. I talked to Vuitton an they will not say a thing and sent me a return label cuz I'm not happy. I did call fashionphile and she stated that there are times they get a authentic Vuitton, yet the date code is odd, which means it was repaired / quality issue. She stated they could not even sell one like this and have had a very few in the past which is unsellable. Anyone else hear of the TX in the date code?
Can anyone tell me if DU4078 is a valid date code for a LV Speedy Damier Ebene 30? Does it look authentic?
DU4078, I think means it was made on the 47th week of the year 2008 in France.

They do if they reline (which could cause problems on the resale market as you get older models with fresh datecodes) but as this is a new purchase from LV then that's not going to be the case.
I just got aGraceful from the LV store with a TX datecode. I called LV and the person doesn’t have a specific answer. She just said it is a a new factory and that they were not told about it.
I heard somewhere that TX is a new factory in Texas. It’s funny that the LV rep has no info about it. I am tempted to return my graceful and get another one somewhere where I know specifically where it came from.

If you look back at my most recent post you will see what the TX date code means and that any question about this code has been thoroughly settled already.

Hi everyone! I have just noticed that the date code on my neverfull pochette (which btw doesn't match with that of the bag) starts with LA, which should be the code of a factory in US, even if the pochette is "made in France".
Since I bought my bag directly at LV I am not particularly worried about this inconsistency, however it would be very nice for me to understand how this code should be read. Thank you very much in advance for your time and help! C.

Hi Ladies, gents,
1st time poster here. The bag in question is the Brittany bag which I'm considering purchasing preloved. I've compared the bag & looks like it matches what an authentic bag would look like. All the hardware is correct, canvas lines up, proper feet, etc. My question is in regards to the location of the date code. There was only 1 picture or reference at all on the 16 pgs of the Brittany thread & I can't find the answer to my question. The bag I'm considering was made, according to the date code, in April of 2017. The date code is in the zipped pocket, not in one of the slip pockets. Does LV always sew the date codes in the same location? The bag was made in France with the code SR1167. There really isn't much out there on this particular bag.

Thank you kindly.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I just received a peek over GM cosmetics pouch in Damien Ebene. I checked for the date code and it seems like it’s one letter and four numbers. Should I be concerned that it’s not two letters?? It reads S4172.
