What's your favorite bag from her?

I personally, have too many to name - my Slouchy Messengers (plural) my amazing Alligator satchel, my ostrich bags (several styles) and the camo bags and backpack which I love.

I understand not everyone has a good experience or meshes well with an artisan, but I have been happy with her designs and craftsmanship.

That's so odd to read because everyone who sees my Laurel creations are like jaw on the floor and when I tell them it's "handmade" they can't believe it's just one woman without a whole factory and workshops behind the production because it looks so premier designer. Whereas I've had Massaccesi bags with handles fraying on one the first day, and hardware popping apart on a second within 1-2 wears, screws popping out and hardware falling off on a third and the lock on a fourth stop working so the bag doesn't open. I mean I'm still willing to go to my cobbler and fix my Massaccesi bags and they have lovely leather but I have never had a single problem with a stitch or a hinge on anything from Laurel. They are rock solid and beautifully stitched to my eyes. I guess individual results may vary, is the moral of this story and people can have different experiences! The vast majority of posts on this thread are raves and dedicated long term repeat customers and her Etsy reviews speak for themselves. But no one will please everyone all the time.

Her leather, the color and hardware quality is really top notch. I am happy with the look , design , materials use, And her customer service. But would I order again? I am not sure...
For me, quality of workmanship is a big part of a bag..and there is where I find unsatisfactory with my bags.

My latest bag from Laurel just shipped. It’s a sling bag in bronze croco embossed leather. I have this leather in her tote style and love the color, texture, and suppleness. Can’t wait to get this on Monday.View attachment 4042487 ( picture courtesy of Laurel).

That bag was made for me and it is definitely not a knock off. I would say it is more inspired. If you saw I in person, you would know what I mean. But, if I had seen this boxy satchel that she did for someone, I would have definitely ordered it instead. This is a beautiful bag.

This is one that is on its way to me now! I ordered it in July but it is definitely worth it to get a bag that is made to my specifications! I know it’ll be better in person!

I've wanted to try Laurel Dasso Leathers for a long time and her domed satchel with rolled handles caught my eye. It's a style I've wanted for a long time but couldn't quite get the combo that I loved. It took about 5 months from order to arrival, but the price point and level of detail is wonderful.

Deets: I asked for a darker tan vacchetta-like leather and she delivered! I believe it is horween, which is high quality full grain leather that is sturdy yet supple.
I asked for silver hardware, an 8-inch exterior pocket, blue lining with birds, and an adjustable shoulder strap. The shoulder strap even has a keeper / closer to keep the extra length together. Wonderful.
Measurements: 10 inches for the bottom width but it tapers to a 12-inch top width, 9 inches for its height in the middle, 6 inches deep. The top opening is like a wide mouth !

Thank you both so much! She's definitely talented...I really like the level of customization she can do, including the dimensions and the lining. You just have to be prepared to be patient for the wait; I calculated more carefully and it took a little over 5 1/2 months from ordering to delivery. However, I know Covid has affected some of her deliveries and she is getting quite popular (which is good)!
And side note, there is a Facebook BST group called Laurel Dasso Ladies (not directly run by her but she does comment on there from time to time).

i have another order in progress but this style will definitely be the next on the list. I love the interior. The wait time is longer but it’s worth it.
