On the other hand, i think the whole point of this thread is to discuss quality issues. The OP needed to know whether the knowledgeable ladies in the subforum would consider her bag normal or substandard and they shared their opinions. Then the discussion got out of control,

Thank you, this was my key intention to find out about others opinions about the leather

And I for one am thankful, Susa, that you posted about your issue. I don't think anyone got upset about your experience being negative and it appeared to me that everyone agreed that the bag was not acceptable.

Edit: Best to shut my mouth and not add to anymore drama.

Can I come sit in your corner then, tlloveshim? I saw the unedited version, and I agree heartily with your sentiments in both versions.

:hugs: to both you and susa.

Merika and gga, I would be honored to be in your company as I find you to be among the very finest of TPF. We can be those 3 monkeys: hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil! LOL!

Well, I just read your pre edited post and you no longer qualify for the "speak no evil" monkey!:laugh: Kidding... Actually, I liked it except for the first line which I'm afraid has been discussed (many many times today;)). The rest was right on target!

LOL! You mean the part that I didn't edit out? :amuse: I am thankful today for the edit button!

Seriously, I am having health issues right now (thyroid) and have a stressful situation going on in my life so I ended up feeling that maybe I crossed the line here. At least the line for myself as I usually don't get so bothered but this thread has really touched a nerve with me. Anyway, I'm cooling down!

Karmen, I am stealing your smilies and putting them in my signature to remind myself to HUSH! :smooch::laugh:

tlloveshim: I have an arsenal of smilies for every occasion, so just say the word and you've got them! I also have health issues and stress I can't even begin to describe, so I know where you're coming from.

Karmenzsofia, I for one am glad you're here. We know each other from way back on other forums via past posts, but I must say, I'm thrilled to see your prescence here. If I've made you feel unwelcomed in any way, shape or form, I sincerely apologize.

No worries, my friend. The opposite is true

I stumbled across this thread earlier today and I have to admit that there is some serious Deja Vu going on. This thread could have been plucked from the RM subforum about a year ago. The most interesting part of it all is that some of the key players are the same. Just a different designer

I know what it's like to feel like your beloved sub forum/ fun hangout/ safe haven is being torn to shreds by differing opinions and (sometimes just plain stirring the pot) but I assure you that if you just whether the storm and ignore, eventually you will find peace again. At least that is what happened in RM and I hope that's what happens for you all :flowers:

After all the hard work and energy put into this sub forum, and these BE bags, you all deserve a place that you can enjoy..

Ladies, do you all know what littlerock is referring to, in the "ignore" function? You go to your private settings and there is a line on the left that says, "Edit Ignore List". You then choose to ignore certain people's posts, and you just don't seem them on the screen anymore. It's quite brill. Nothing to get riled up about anymore. Who needs to get riled up about handbags anyway. There's a world of things to be REALLY riled up about. Try reading Oprah's bookclub choice, "Say you're one of them" -- now that's something to be riled about.

I do know that my enjoyment has seriously suffered, and now I am calmly: ignoring. And back to enjoing.

Thanks littlerock,

I'm usually a person, who choses to ignore rather than getting upset for then making my health issues worse...but I also like to be fair, this part of me is perhaps too much developed..I've been told so a lot of times, that I should just "leave it" :smile1: but sometimes it can be very hard just to ignore..lol..but I will try again to go back to just ignore, so we can go back to having normal discussions and enjoy the forum!
