I hadn't realized that Meredith bought it for you, Izzy. What a wonderful present! The color is so soft and pretty, and now you and I are Mulberry bag twins again! I know you will enjoy this bag more than your others, because it came to you with love. Every time you carry it, you will think of your daughter... what a lovely thing!

Thank you Elaine, it was so kind of her and I truly appreciate it.

Just been in the doldrums. The upside of staying off the forum is that I am not constantly thinking about bags, shoes and scarves! Luv2 I need to cut waaaaay back this year so don't feel like the Lone Ranger!
Re: Super Bowl - am not a sports person, but you can count me as a Hawks fan. I even wore green and blue today. I saw that Richard Sherman's girlfriend is expecting their baby any day now.

I have been about the same as you and it's no fun but we will work our way out in the near future I hope.

So if my count is right we have 3 for Seahawks and 3 for PATS

Went to the oncogist 2x yearly routine check up so that they can see I am still alive :) Everyone working there (and this is a huge cancer treatment center) was wearing Seahawks shirts. There was a sign in the lobby saying to wear Seahawks apparel to work today. There are Seahawks signs every where. At one of the buildings where I work there is a large banner hanging from the top of of building surrounded by lights (very cool when I drive to work in the dark ) with a huge 12 on it. GO Sea HAWKS!
I hope that you are doing well.
Imagine my surprise when I picked up my mail. An adorable Coach Gary Baseman "Buster" key chain...a gift from my "Coach Fairy"!!!
Perfect for a plain bag!
I love this charm. It looks so cute on your bag.
Thank you so much, dear Meg. What a sweet thing to say. I am having more good days than bad now, and I think it is showing in my face (and my smile). 2014 was a hard year, but 2015 has a promising start.

I bumped into a friend at our local small market a couple of hours ago, and she gifted me with these words of wisdom: "A day doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful." Isn't that a lovely thought?

I love that saying and a great one to live by.

I'm in "divestiture" mode too, meg. I'm bringing 10 bags to my consignment shop next month. None of them are high-end; I bought them before I was really educated about "quality" in handbags. I have a couple of Marc by Marc Jacobs (now I only carry Marc Jacobs), some Rebecca Minkoff, a Kate Spade that is much too young-looking for me... stuff like that. I haven't used any of them in well over a year, because I always reach for my "good" bags now.

I realized that I felt as if I was drowning in handbags, and there was really no need for me to feel that way, since there were a bunch that I simply never used. I know I won't get a lot of money back on them, but whatever I do get goes back into my bag budget, so it's a "never-ending loop," LOL!

It is a never ending loop. What every you get for them is more than you had. Plus storage space. It is so much easier to grab a bag when you aren't wading through the ones that you never use.
Speaking of bags the Chanel arrived yesterday. It was gorgeous and would have been perfect if it was just a couple of inches wider. I tried getting my phone in and it barely fit. Once in it was nearly impossible to get out and that was without anything else any it. So the search continues. I would love to find that color again. It was so much prettier in real life. It almost had a rose gold hue to it. Since I am going to be heading to SCP for my birthday shopping trip this year I will look to see if I can find exactly what I want. I still am waiting for my credit at BG from the small Pandora that was broken. I called them since I hadn't heard anything and they said oh yes the received it but it takes approximately 2 weeks for a credit to be issued! I couldn't believe it. I would think sending someone a defective bag would push that bag to the top of the refund line and I told her so. So disappointing.

Do you mean that bronze-ish Chanel bag that you showed us in the past week or so... the one with the slightly rounded look to it? That one didn't work? If I'm thinking of the correct one, that's such a shame! I loved that bag (and I know you did, too). Maybe you need two phones? One for your larger bags, and one for your mini-bags?:p

You're right about BG... that credit should have been issued immediately. I wonder if it's like the old "The check is in the mail" ploy from the days when everyone paid with checks... the longer BG stalla the refund, the longer they get to hold on to your money? Good for you, for telling the CSR what you thought of the non-service you were getting!

What happens when you go to SCP for your birthday shopping trip? Do you have an "upper limit," or is the sky the limit? ;)

Yes, that was the bag that I sent pictures of. It is too small. It was perfect in every other way. The color was beautiful and the shape was fantastic. I almost kept it lol. Then I remembered that I am not keeping bags just because I love them if they aren't also going to be functional.

I was shocked about BG and how long it takes for them to process a return. They are right up there with Hermes. I think I will pass on getting any more bags from them unless I can't find what I want anywhere else. I will once again have a credit though so I may opt for a different bag since I don't trust them not to send me the same on back again.

As far as my birthday goes I don't have a limit per se but will try and be mindful of my purchases. Since I don't get there more than a couple of times a year these days I do tend to go a bit overboard. I know hard to imagine. I think I will start out at Hermes though and that way If they have another Halzan bag in a great color I will get that and call it a day as far as handbags go. I really love that bag and find it one of the most functional, comfortable and easy to wear bags that I own.

Not sure of what or where SCP is - but it sounds like a great place for purse lovers. :smile1: Enjoy megt10 and happy (belated???) birthday!

SCP is South Coast Plaza located in Costa Mesa in Southern California. It has all and I mean all the premier designer shops in one place purses, shoes, clothing and jewelry. The mall is huge and often I only get to a handful of stores when I am there since I take my MIL with me for the excursion. She has to do the trip in a wheelchair with me pushing. There are a lot of up and down ramps that feel more like little mountains as I have gotten older. My birthday is in about 3 weeks.
