Uh oh... that's not good if it scratches that easily. But yeah, that indentations were the thing that would drive me crazy because I know they are there (front and back). And if you see the 3rd picture, it looks like Colette was giving this face

I'll see how the replacement looks like tomorrow. If that one has indentation as well then I'll pass on Colette and stick with saffiano.
Leather usually bounces right back as you use the bags, any little dents and dings will come out. I find that if I just massage it and poke at it, the dents easily come out. You can also try what Baglady said, but I think they will come out on their own, in a very short time.

They've already come out with replicas for the colette :0 ki so surprised and it looks hundred percent same! I couldn't believe it when I saw it yesterday on a Chinese website
Almost every designer has come out with a bag similar to the Colette. I'm not surprised the knock-offs are out there. They are probably coming from some of the same factories that manufacture the designer versions.

First time out with my large Colette in Watermelon, Chili, and Pink. A 20th Anniversary present!

I really liked the other color combination Nordstroms had - I think it was white, tan, and peanut or similar - but this one is a lot of fun!

What a lovely bag! Congratulations on your 20th anniversary AND a lovely present :hugs:

I would try to heat the indentations with a blowdryer and put your hand inside and smooth/rub it out as you heat from the outside. The scratch on the wing is no biggie unless you think it has the potential to get worse. Bags get scratches and dings naturally anyway from our keys, nails and banging them into things. Try the heat first.;)

The replacement Colette came and this one has less scratches but the bag kinda sag in the back and with a dimple and a scar in the front! I'll try the heat trick to see if that'll take care of it. I'll take comparison pictures later today if I have time.

Thanks for the tips ladies :smile1:

Why are collettes so troublesome? I have seen multiple complaints here on TPF an in online reviews with leather dimples, bubbles, crooked trim, indentions, zipper wrinkling and lots of scratches. Most people have to do several returns or reorders to get a nice one. I think I'm gonna stay away from this style. I have a hamilton traveler that requires a little bit of TLC as it is. I hope the heat trick works for you. I have done this before on a soft leather and a saffiano bag. Good luck.

I think they are trying to make too structured of a bag out of soft leather?? But we don't see this on the Sophie Leather bags?? Perhaps too much detailing causes puckers and dimples in the soft leather? I still think it will come out with use. Scratches usually buff right off with a good leather polish. We are seeing all kinds of defects lately, in the authenticity thread. MK is just not putting out the same quality they did in the past. They are letting so many mistakes get past quality control, I am beginning to wonder if they even HAVE a quality control center, anymore!

oh.. I almost wanted to buy my medium selma there during my first purchase last year. they quoted $200 which was quite tempting.. claimed to be 99.9% close to authentic, means still counterfeit right? Haha..

My sister in another country wants a selma for less and doesn't mind a very good counterfeit. I am yet to find one. That's what I was doing on ioffer.. I wonder where these sellers on eBay get theirs from. They look exactly like the original except they come with plastic wrapping.

Can update us if your sistee decide to buy from ioffer? I am not sure how much their price for selma nowadays but yes I also saw such bags wrapped in plastic but look very similar to authentic ones.. Not sure about weight and other details though eg: zipper, stitching, etc..
