Mine has more scratches than this as it was a store display, it didn't come with any packaging like yours. I couldn't return from Australia, so I got a partial refund from them. I ended up paying like one third of the price and fixed the scratches and indentation with baby oil. It's disappeared 80%. But if u can exchange easily, so it. For the price, it'd better be perfect. I know other ladies here have exchanged a few time until they received a perfect bag.
Oh sorry to hear that! Good thing you got partial refund and baby oil works. I'm going to try that in the future

I ordered a chili Colette online for store pick up and when I went to pick it up, they gave me the display purse since it was the only one they had in stock. I was not happy with it so they called other stores in the US and had one shipped to me that was supposedly in their storeroom and never out on the sales floor. It arrived with the MK price tag torn off, an indent on the handle from the notch of the plastic price tag holder and a faint scratch along the bottom. I returned it and purchased it from a competitor's store because they had one that was never taken out of the MK wrapping.
It bothers me to pay almost full price on a purse that is less than perfect. Plus, I want to be the one to put the scratches on myself![]()
LOL, I know right. Was the last one finally the perfect one?
I love the chili but I don't look good with that red shade of chili. I'm getting a medium Mandarin Selma

I had trouble with the first 2 large colettes I had. The first one had a huge scratch on the front and the 2nd one had a zipper indentation as well as puffy leather. On the third try I finally got one with just a few tiny scratches. I think finding one without defects at all will be near to impossible. My first colette which was the medium size was perfect (from Neiman Marcus) but unfortunately it was way too small. I think I need to contact MK as the way they are packaging all the large Colettes somehow make that darn zipper indentation and it's super annoying!
I would try to exchange it if you can, or ask for a partial discount (maybe 10-15%?)
Please do so! It's annoying to buy and return several times just to find the perfect one (hubby might think I'm buying 10 bags in 2 weeks with all those boxes coming in and out!). The indentation is what bothers me most. The tiny/light scratches... I think I can live with them or use baby oil as Mariamshah mentioned. Glad you finally got the one with the least scratches

I'm going to order 1 more bag and see if the other one will be better than this one.
Did you ladies put more scratches since you got yours? It seems the leather is so easy to scratch. What do you use to protect it from scratching too much?
