I found my wallet , tissues and sunglasses fitted very nicely . Anything more than that and the bag would be bulky. Small purse is best! I found it too small for me and bought the large
( please note bag is very soft leather and scratches easily so be careful! :)

I think they are totally different colors but I would not get 2 large colettes in very similar colors! Do you like any other MK styles? I think luggage and peanut are very pretty in saffiano leather too:smile1:

I actually have the luggage in the Selma and the Sutton (large) and the peanut in the Riley and the Sutton (large)...but the Colette seems to be made from a different leather.

Selma and Sutton are saffiano leather. Riley is pebbled leather. Colette is vitelo leather (same as on the Hamilton Traveler).

Got my black Colette today! There's indentation near the front pocket zipper and some scratches on the back and side :( What do you think ladies? Am I being too picky or should I order another and return this one?

Mine has more scratches than this as it was a store display, it didn't come with any packaging like yours. I couldn't return from Australia, so I got a partial refund from them. I ended up paying like one third of the price and fixed the scratches and indentation with baby oil. It's disappeared 80%. But if u can exchange easily, so it. For the price, it'd better be perfect. I know other ladies here have exchanged a few time until they received a perfect bag.

I ordered a chili Colette online for store pick up and when I went to pick it up, they gave me the display purse since it was the only one they had in stock. I was not happy with it so they called other stores in the US and had one shipped to me that was supposedly in their storeroom and never out on the sales floor. It arrived with the MK price tag torn off, an indent on the handle from the notch of the plastic price tag holder and a faint scratch along the bottom. I returned it and purchased it from a competitor's store because they had one that was never taken out of the MK wrapping.

It bothers me to pay almost full price on a purse that is less than perfect. Plus, I want to be the one to put the scratches on myself ;)

I had trouble with the first 2 large colettes I had. The first one had a huge scratch on the front and the 2nd one had a zipper indentation as well as puffy leather. On the third try I finally got one with just a few tiny scratches. I think finding one without defects at all will be near to impossible. My first colette which was the medium size was perfect (from Neiman Marcus) but unfortunately it was way too small. I think I need to contact MK as the way they are packaging all the large Colettes somehow make that darn zipper indentation and it's super annoying!

I would try to exchange it if you can, or ask for a partial discount (maybe 10-15%?)
