Hi! I've had my CCHs for several years. I have a small green and a small black.
The corners will wear. Both mine have similar wear as you seen on consignment websites.
It's the nature of the bag due to how the corners are folded.

I do not baby my bags, and I use my bags regularly, everywhere, work, plane, travel, etc.
The flap is different as it really does not have the folded corners that a CCH has. The wear on a flap is more on the bottom and the edges if that makes sense.

My bigger issue with a CCH is the inside sections. The CCH is a trapezoid shape, meaning the top opening is smaller than the bottom. It is not a true rectangle. If you have thin items, the bag will be fine. However, if you have thick items like big thick sunglass case, you will have to stuff it down past the smaller opening at the top. This is the one pet peeve of mine with this bag.

I actually banned this bag because of the divided sections and decided to stop collecting CCHs after I purchased my second one. I kept waiting for a new top handle, but it's been a few years, and the only other choice was the Trendy CC which also has its pros/cons.

So... I have just recently decided to un-ban this bag! :biggrin::heart: I plan to get more in happy colors.
I like the small/medium size, the same size you are looking to purchase. For 22K, the small/medium comes in black, beige, and a dark red. I was hoping the fucshia would come in small/medium, but it only comes in the mini size. Spring is usually when the happy colors arrive.

For me, it's not the wear on the corners that bug me, it's how the sections inside make the bag really annoying to use for me. I am used to it now, which is why I have un-banned this bag.

Oh, the handle is also a bit stiff if you plan to carry it on your wrist as I do. The Trendy CC has far better handles.
The main reason why I plan to collect more of the CCH is because I love top handles.
Just my thoughts to share.

ETA: If you are already buying a medium flap, the small flap is not a whole lot different. If you want another flap look, I'd go for the mini for a different look (you have to like minis though. I had one and got rid of it). Otherwise, if you can live with the divided sections on the CCH, I would get a CCH as your second bag. You can also look at the Trendy CC as another top handle option.
I love top handles and they the are so gorgeous.

It's really really bright. Beautiful color, but you just need to make sure you have things to wear with it, and it's not a seasonal one time color for you. Here is a better photo of the bag. Super bright, not Barbie pink, more fuchsia pink. It's a bit less hot pink than the photo, a bit more deeper fuchsia pink, but definitely not Barbie pink in your photo.

If you have outfits you can wear with this, I'd get it. I love it and wish it came in the small/medium.
It's a super happy bag to me, and I like happy colors for bags.
I also think happy colors offset the serious structured look of the CCH as it is top handle (I dress super casual out of the office).

Thank you for such a detailed and helpful response! For your corner wear, was it just the corners getting scuffed or did the corners sort of lose their shape and start creasing/folding in as well? I think scuffing I'd be fine with, but will probably avoid this bag if the sagging in is common. I love the bag's beautiful shape and wouldn't want to lose that over time.

Thankfully the inside divider doesn't bother me, I don't usually carry much and oftentimes just use WOCs. I personally prefer the look of CCH over trendy CC. I'm glad you're unbanning this bag!! CCH looks absolutely gorgeous in soo many different colors, excited to see which other ones you decide to add to your collection! The fuchsia is indeed beautiful, too bad the size wasn't ideal.

I'm so excited to see more pictures of 22k CCH in different colors. Can't wait to see some pictures/videos of the beige and dark red in different lighting since I might end up aiming for one of them. If anyone has photos please share!

Hi! The wear is both the scuffed corners and also sagging. The sagging is also the nature of the bag.
Keep in mind I use my bags daily and do not baby them. Sure, I could baby them, but I do not see the point of stressing over a bag or any other item. Bags are meant to be used, not to sit around in a closet.

Also, in a twisted way, I like the look of my bag a bit beat up. It's the sign of a well-loved bag and not one that has been babied or only used for "nice" events.

That said everyone is different and you will have to decide what works for you.
I took photos of my green CCH. You can see the scuffs on the corner, you can see the sag. You can also see that while it has feet, the corners hang "past" the feet, so the feet is really useless to protect the corners hence the scuffing problem. It's really the way they folded the corners of the bag instead of making it more a true seam. The Hermes Kelly bag has true seams and is not a "folded corner" like the CCH.

On color... if you are only going to buy two Chanel bags, I would think about the full seasons. Black is great for fall/winter, but not so great for spring/summer. Yes, one can say black can be worn with everything, but personally, I find it a bit odd looking to wear a black bag with light summer clothing. You are thinking of either dark red or beige, so think how you can wear these bags in all seasons, not just with a few outfits you have now, especially as it is approaching fall and of course this collection is the fall collection.

I am excited for you to get your new bags! All I can say is don't rush on choice of color. Don't just pick from what is available now and settled if it's not a perfect color. If you are hesitating a bit, wait... CCHs come back every other season with new colors.

For me, I am waiting... I already have two red Chanel bags and a beige claire (none of these bags that I wear often due to the color).

Thank you so much for all the information shared here. For me, with all the cons mentioned, I still love the cch so much that I have collected 3 already, light blue, coral, and black with burgundy handle, all in the small (old mini) size. Tbh, I do plan to get another if I fall in love with a new color. My first one does have some tiny wear at the corners, but not so noticeable without really trying to look at it. After seeing this on my first one, I have been trying to be careful when using them, and no more additional wear so far. I do rotate my bags quite often too. About sagging, I do not see the problem much at all on all my 3 cch. I think it is due to the size I own (small only) and I organize my stuff inside so that not much space left for sagging when in use. When not in use, I do not put the chain strap on the bag so that the weight of the strap is not completely on top of the bag. I am very happy every time I use mine, one of the bags that will be in my collection forever ❤️

It's such a great bag, isn't it?! I agree with you.. with all the scuffs, sags, and dings on my bags, I don't care. Super cute bag.

I have not been able to find a better replacement for a top handle, especially one without the divided section.
The Trendy CC is close. I like the shape better, but I hate the huge golden bar logo. It too has divided sections, so you can't win!

I decided to un-ban the CCH because it's so cute, and the straps are removable.
Plus, the CCH comes in a lot more happy colors than the Trendy CC.

On the front sagging... I think the trick is to not put stuff in the front inner pockets. I put my lipsticks there, and I a sure it weighs it down. You can a test.. if you put your fist in the inner front pocket, you will see the front start to sag, exactly as in my bag. I have GSTs that sag the exact same way, except it's the inner back pocket where I put my three lipsticks. Yes.. three Chanel lipsticks... that has some weight to it! But I don't care... it's just bags, and I love my lipsticks so I can pick and choose the color for the day. :biggrin: :heart:

The red looks nice... it looks like 12A red for those of you who remember the frenzy around the infamous 12A red.
Ugh... tempting! And it comes in small/medium too!

Hi! Thanks for the photo. It looked more on like neon pink. I do love a pop of color! Does it only come in minis? I am looking into the small size as well.

The pink does not come in small/medium. Bummer for me too as I think that is such a happy pink. It's not quite that neon; it's more a fuchsia. The pink comes in Extra Mini and Mini. For me, those bags are too small, and I want a small/medium.
I think the red is nice too. It is a deep red, not orangey at all.

If you want the small/medium size, the 22K colors are black, dark red, beige, and dark brown. The beige is not beige claire, it's more light camel to me. I saw a hobo in the same 22K beige, and it looks a bit like a light camel, definitely not beige claire.

Hope this helps, and maybe you will like something from 22K.
