Now I want a Moon Bag too!!

I have to admit that if it's a style I love, where it's made has held no influence on me. But I certainly do like the idea of production coming back to North America.
I wonder how many they sell too. I love Coach has a mid-tier brand. Why change? Not every good brand needs to be expensive. I wonder how they are going to get a lot of customers to drop +$1000 on Coach than LV. It will be fascinating to watch. I hope this new strategy incorporates making the bags in America with the great leather and classic styles they use to make. Some of the bags from the new designer look trendy and too young for me to wear. What Coach has done in the past has been to have some affordable bags (around $300 or under), some mid priced bags (around $500 or under), and then some pinnacle bags. I think it helped that people who couldn't afford the expensive bags could still buy something at FP, and I'm sure some people who started looking at the cheaper bags upgraded to the more expensive bags.
When they came out with Poppy, which was really affordable, it was supposed to be for a younger customer but appealed to many. I wonder if it impacted the sales of their other lines.
If they ramp up all their prices to over $500, a lot of people won't even come into the store.
I've noticed the MK and Kate Spade have premium priced bags. I really wonder how many of these they sell.
Can I ask what are the Canadian fine leather brands you know of? I only know of Roots, Rudsak, M0851, Derek Alexander and Danier. I find Roots and Derek Alexander too rustic/rugged for my style, while Rudsak has not been the best quality in terms of SLGs. I would love to discover the equivalent of an artisan like Frank Clegg or Marco Massaccesi.I agree, as a Canadian myself i have the option of fine leather bags made in Toronto but the styles don't always suit my needs so i have once again bought a different brand. While i don't disagree American(or Canadian made) would be nice, for the general 'you' most likely don't give a toss and simply focus on the purse itself and the price.
I'm not. I don't care where my bag is made as long as it has the quality I want and the price I can afford. While it would be great to see Coach products made in the US again, are the majority of Coach customers REALLY willing to pay for that price increase?
I will say I am liking the direction this line is going and I am loving the quality of my newest bags (Swagger, Rhyder, Nomad). And the fact that the classics are being redone for an anniversary edition is really peaking my interests too.
Agreed. The fact of the matter is that I wouldn't be buying Coach if I couldn't get the quality for the prices they have now (when on sale). I can't even consider buying the current FP bags at full price, so I would definitely be priced out if they had to charge more for where they are being made.I'm not. I don't care where my bag is made as long as it has the quality I want and the price I can afford.
Correct me if I am wrong here, but I see the comment of price increases. Now, I get that the lower price pointed bags are now mostly crossgrain and signature, but $500-800 bags were common even in the 2000's. I know this because I own/ed some. They were the pinnacle lines, some were even over $1000. Edie bags, which are similar to the former Maggie are still priced about the same as they used to be, and before the classics left, their prices had never really increased from the late 90's/2000's. Am I missing something here, or is it because we are just so used to how fast the timeline has now increased from full priced to outlet? I know that frustrates me more than increases.
