I'm sure a Rogue will show up at the outlet, but the mineral, yellow exotic, and others that have sold out have never come back. Maybe there is less overstock than before.

Ditto; the tea rose saddle bag I purchased a few months ago is already shown as out of stock. Since the older blue color is still on the website-then most likely the burgundy one is really gone, and not merely held for SAS. If there are leather combinations that really speaks to the buyer, then probably it's better to purchase them now, rather than risk their not getting to the outlets at all.

I agree, it looks like they're being a little smarter with some of these higher priced pieces and creating less stock so they won't go to outlets. It seems as though all the rogues from the first collection sold out though, which is a good sign.
I wonder if they all truly sold out though. Some people did returns and I question when inventory says 0 because I have gotten several Coach items that are "0 inventory" with a little bit of calling around. But it's good that it's in that realm of sold out, makes it seem like they put more thought into the product launch.

Ok good point lol, I was with a friend who bought the oxblood and they had to do a fax order to jax because it showed up as the last one in the company and luckily she was able to get it, it was the only color their system told us that had any left, but I digress you are right, things sometimes have a way of being sold out then mysteriously pop up again. Although I was told with the rogues most of the remaining stock across the country were bought up by employees.

I was VERY late to the party on my mineral rogue. I thought I would never find one. They probably pop up because someone returns one at the last minute. When I found mine, I searched for awhile and eventually on a whim I had the SA check again and four total were found in a new store search by my SA. Zero were listed at JAX for some time. This number of 4 bags remaining was confirmed as accurate by calls to all the 4 remaining stores. All four left in store had been described as very recent "returns" with bags showing "no visible signs of wear". There would be no excitement of tearing apart the oodles of wrap on a new bag for me (or 3 other ladies). Mine arrived with no stuffing or wrap, alone in a dust bag, with a "history". It was that or nothing. I kept it and love it, and never regretted my decision to keep it. If you knew me, you'd know I'm very picky about my bags being in pristine condition and in the wrapping... It was the first bag I ever kept without assurance of indisputable newness. That's how much I love it.

Coach DOES appear to be achieving a recognizable level of desire for their newer limited pieces based on their ability to limit their inventory of these unique bags so that exclusivity is created. I've never seen one other mineral rogue on another lady in my community except for the lucky owners here on PF. Or for that matter, a tea rose bag...Have any of you?

Yes, in the past, they made tons of legacy bags, etc. that they had to sell at outlet stores due to overproduction. But, they now seem to be getting it right with the 1941s.. At least most of the time.

I recently noticed that if you shop by designer on Neiman Marcus, Coach New York and Coach 1941 are separated just like MMK and MK Collection. Some stores still keep them as one. I am very interested to see how many customers they earn vs lose in this effort.

Ideally, Coach would rather sell 1 bag for $600 than 3 bags for $200. They are trying hard to repair years of poor marketing decisions and it will take time to fix the damage they caused to themselves. But I believe they are on the right track.

I have a mineral Rogue and I also have a Dinky tea rose. I have seen a few in my city but it is not a surprise to see a Rogue of some color. Apparently Neiman Marcus thinks enough of the 1941 group to add them to their inventory which is probably a good thing for Coach. I also agree with you the 1941 group is a nice step in upgraded and interesting designs.

The problem I have with Coach is the snobbines of their sales staff. Besides the outlets the Coach stores sales staff are rather rude, uncaring and overall not nice.

Every time I've walked into an LV store. Even if I'm not buying I'm treated with respect. That goes a long way with customers.

Treat your clientele with respect and some dignity versus being jerks to them just for inquiring about a product.

I swear I've never had a good experience with Coach recently besides the people at the outlets.

Stop being snobs and understand that while your product is amazing a customer can be turned away for something probably better at a premier store.

First of all, I'm sorry this happened to you. I understand that the brand "experience" has soured the brand to an extent for you. That's not okay.

My SA has confided in me many times that Coach has started getting stricter in regards to salesmanship and store metrics. Sometimes SA's get snobby when it comes to smaller items (like the bag charms) because they're under pressure to sell a bag AND a wallet AND a cleaning kit. It's hard for some SA's to see that kindness, curiosity, and old-fashioned-friendliness when selling a smaller item may yield a bigger sale down the road.

Don't take it personal! And if you are treated unkindly, remember that you have the right to speak up and request some space when shopping!

I've run into this so I do a lot of "window peaking and shopping" around some of my local stores where they are pushy. The ones that are like that don't realize that it's a balancing act and can drive people away. If I am planning to purchase an item in store, I have to know exactly what I am going to buy so that I don't get harassed too much. Other stores are friendlier, but there are some where they are just too aggressive.

That is awful, because pushy or rude staff can totally ruin a great shopping experience. I have been lucky to always have great experiences with Coach stores, they do exist!

Maybe try online shopping...the Coach store near my old place wasn't too great, but since I moved to another state the new SA's are awesome! Part of it is in the style, but their service just make me go back for more, to the point that two boutiques say I'm their best customer. Yikes for my wallet, so now I'll have to try and see if I can trim down the September PCE list! Good associates are out there, and great service does happen!
