OH YA....so do you want the mono or damier azur? I love the look of both. I think the PM is the one I would end up with...but I have a LOT of time to ponder this one :roflmfao:

probably the mono, I have not seen the azur in person.. I bet it gorgeous too. I will make up my mind when I get there to buy it I guess, LOL! I only have like $300 so far so I have a while too.

Ladies, again, the troll has been banned, and I've removed the comments. Let's please move on and quit rehashing this, and also remember that an opinion is always OK, but bashing is not. As someone else mentioned, this is the kind of thread that can turn ugly fast. I will close this thread if members cannot be respectful to each other and keep the thread O.T. Thanks!

That said, ladies, I just bought a bag at the Coach boutique last night! I couldn't resist!! However, yes, tags stay on a while till I see about events and/or outlet!! ;) Enjoy your weekend shopping for Coach or whatever brand you're looking for!!

I am glad I wasn't around when the bashing commenced, but congratulations, Baglady39, on your new purchase! I love your system (keep tags on and watch the outlets). It's like a sport--placing my bet down and waiting to collect lateron.

I am still not convinced about LV yet. I didn't like it at first but you never know...I may go that route someday. So far, I love the colours, styles, and designs that Coach puts out between 2006-2008. This place has taught me to colour coordinate, accessorize, and do a little scarf tying too. LV just looks plainer and costs more and they make fewer bags (that's because they're handmade), but due to industrialization, things are made just faster. What I appreciate about Coach is that they are manufactured this way and yet they still try to keep the quality in check. It's not always perfect but it works for the most part. I love my perfectly stitched Zoe and I was admiring the handle, the overall thick rich leather, and the workmanship as I was riding home. I also noticed some furtive glances at the bag by ladies sitting next to me. This brand never fails to impress me overall.

I'm still new to LV designs, but I believe if I was more innundated with their collection, I may just be tempted to grab one and take it home. Maybe they're quality is better than Coach, but I think as Donald Winnicott would probably say, "Coach is just a 'good enough' bag for me," for now.

I say get what you love to carry, no matter the brand. I bought a Miu Miu and it was $1500. I have carried it a little, but it's lambskin and I am terrified something will happen to it, so it mostly sits in it's dust bag. I'd love to be able to get my money back out of it and just carry Coach. I love Coach because it's affordable and I don't have to stress out about it nearly as much.
I love them both sadly I never really had a Coach bag. I started to love them when I went the Coach store with my sister. I am huge LV fan and I when it comes time for my trip to europe I will buy Neverfull GM and Coach wallet. I wanted to buy Sarah wallet in but it out of price range because I would over 900 euro. I will buy Neverfull GM but sadly not LV wallets. I love coach though so that will be fine by me

Coach wallets are the best by far. I have tons of LV bags and they last and hold up very well. As for LV wallets sadly I have 7 of them and they'er awful!!! I have taken 4 to get reglazed they don't hold up. And after a year you end up paying twice as much. cause you have to get them repair!

When I started buying designer bags, my brand of choice was Coach. Then I sold my Coaches then went to solely LV. Now, I buy and carry what I like, no brand loyalties anymore. I have LV, Dooney, Coach, Brighton. Specially now that LV prices keeps increasing, I began to question the value of an LV bag - I mean for their main lines (Monogram, Damier) which is coated canvas, how can they ask close to or >$1000 for a bag. Of course, LV is a luxury brand so I guess they can demand the price for exclusivity but I'm no longer in the "LV spell".

I really love my Coach bags and Coach is what started my love affair with bags 4 yrs ago. I'm now gonna get my first LV but I know I will still carry my Coach. Also, I find the customer service at Coach so good.

Hi there,

I haven't posted on a Coach forum for quite awhile...I've been a bit of a "Dior whore" (!) for awhile and really appreciate their gorgeous line of bags...that said, I will never replace Coach; I think the leathers used are gorgeous, durable, and relatively affordable. I carry/wear them with pride. Really have missed out on the new releases, actually...hmm...maybe I'll visit a boutique today (lol!)....

I have bags from Coach, LV and Chanel. Right now I have 3 Coach bags, 6 LV bags and 1 Chanel. I think that Coach has quality leather bags with nice solid styles. That being said, I have had to throw out a Coach bag that looked worn out in the time that I have carried my LV Speedy 30, and the Coach bag was rotated in, I carry the Speedy the most often.
I think that Coach definitely has a space in my wardrobe though. I use it when I the weather is wet, I take a Coach when I know I won't have a place to safely set my LV down and when I travel I turn to Coach so I won't have to worry about it as much as my LV bags.
I have an outlet tote from Coach that has lasted nicely also. The only wear that you can see on it is a bit of discoloration from sunlight.
I am looking to buy a new spring coach shoulder bag to use during the rainy spring weather. And maybe a new clutch or small bag that I can use when going to the casino.

Sorry for bumping this thread, but this is misinformation. Louis Vuitton products ARE NOT handmade. In fact, the speedy is not unlike any coach product, it is heavily mass-produced. However, some Louis Vuitton trunks may still be handmade.
There is a thread in the Chanel forum about the "Made in France" label. Any of the premium designers can do most of their manufacturing in Asia and just finish the bag in France in order to legally put the "Made in France" label on their items. It is probable that this is exactly what is happening. Some people who have gone on tours at factories say that in Asia, after hours, the same equipment may be used to manufacture high quality fakes.

Coach creeds still say hand-crafted. Sitting on an assembly line controlling a sewing machine is considered "handmade."
